Student answer (Band 6.0)

While education is play indispensable role in individual life as it provides financial independence and dignity in the society. A handful of masses consider that academic knowledge is not sufficient to grab hand-on abilities which is essential for the development of the people. I strongly agree with this said notion and the reason related to this will be elaborated in the forthcoming paragraph.

To commence with, Why higher education has failed to meet with standard acceptable of performance? The first and the foremost reason is that" Pressurized pupils to achieve higher rank " To explain further, nowadays it is very common to see in high rated university where students are follow the memorized method just qualified the exam along with good grade. Consequently , They are entirely unable to provide appropriate contribution in that field. To illustrate, my colleague scored above 90% in their academics but still she is unable to present her remarkable performance at workplace.

Probing ahead, another reason to justify my points is that, " Improper skills based course " To add it more, mostly universities or schools focus on professional course rater than skilled subjects which not only provide them sufficient knowledge of that skills but also boost their confidence. As a result, they can earn experience and money as well. So universities should give implant different skill course which is highly crucial according to this interest of students, with this they could contribute that skills in proper way.

To recapitulate, It can be said that ,Although higher education is play key role in the growth of children ,sometime it failed to give them practical skills which is more important in this cutting edge era.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position in favor of practical skills over academic facts. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. While you provide a personal example regarding a colleague, the explanation of why universities focus on theory rather than practice remains superficial. The arguments are relevant but lack depth, and the essay relies on generalizations. To improve, you should expand on the 'why' and 'how' of your arguments, perhaps by discussing the long-term economic or societal benefits of a more balanced curriculum, rather than just stating that skills boost confidence.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, and there is a clear introduction and conclusion. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or awkward, such as 'Probing ahead' or 'To add it more'. Some transitions do not flow naturally, and the referencing is occasionally unclear, particularly in the second body paragraph. While the overall progression is discernible, the lack of sophisticated linking words and the repetitive structure of the opening sentences hinder the flow. Improving the variety of your cohesive devices will help the ideas connect more smoothly.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, but there are frequent issues with word choice and collocation. Phrases like 'handful of masses' and 'grab hand-on abilities' are unnatural. There are also errors in word form, such as 'is play' instead of 'plays' and 'implant' instead of 'implement'. While you attempt to use more academic vocabulary, the inaccuracies sometimes make the meaning slightly opaque. To reach a higher band, focus on learning common collocations and ensuring that your word choices are contextually appropriate for formal writing.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout. Common issues include subject-verb agreement ('education is play'), incorrect verb forms ('students are follow'), and punctuation errors, such as unnecessary quotation marks and misplaced commas. These errors are noticeable and occasionally distract the reader, though they do not fully impede communication. To improve, you should focus on basic sentence construction, specifically ensuring that verbs are correctly conjugated and that your use of articles and prepositions is accurate.
