Student answer (Band 5.5)

While, education play a significant role in the develpoment of individuals. Some people assert that due to high academic perssure students of schools and universities spent their majority of time in craming facts rather than gain some practical knowledge. This essay will expalin the reasons why I am not in the favour of this notion.

One of the major reeasons is government regulations, in majority of nations government have strict rules for childern learning. In which they equally devided the theoretical and practical learning sections. Therefore, childern gain knowledge in class rooms and implement in practical sections. In addition, now higher authorities of schools and universities award about the importance of practical skills. As a result, the start include this activites permanently in course curiculam.

Moreover, in this modren era parents motivate their childern to enrol in pratical skills classes. Which give them confidence to try in skills not like old time where only theorotical knowledge is treated as priority. Consequently, children able to get more benefit of this pratical skill courses in schools and universities.

In my opinion, while in some extend high academic pressure effect the childern involvment in learning pratical skills because to time shortage, the support authorties, parents and education institutes provide to make therotical and pratical learning convenient for children pull me against this notion.

In conclusion, undoubtedly due to high academic burden childern have limited time to do other pratical skills but the effort authorities, parents and instituties put make it easier for childern was really upresharteable.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses the prompt and maintains a clear position throughout. However, the development of ideas is somewhat superficial. While you mention government regulations and parental influence, these points are not fully extended with concrete examples or logical depth. The arguments remain general, and the connection between the points and the central question of whether 'too much time' is spent on facts is occasionally tenuous. To improve, ensure each body paragraph provides a specific, illustrative example to support your claims, rather than relying on broad assertions about government or parental roles.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organised into clear paragraphs, and there is a logical progression from the introduction to the conclusion. You use some cohesive devices such as 'In addition', 'Moreover', and 'Consequently' to link ideas. However, the use of these devices is sometimes mechanical or slightly inaccurate, such as the sentence fragment 'Which give them confidence...' and the awkward phrasing in the final paragraph. Referencing is occasionally unclear, and the flow between sentences could be smoother. Improving the variety and precision of your linking words will help elevate your score in this criterion.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary is adequate for the task but lacks the precision and range required for a higher band. There are frequent spelling errors (e.g., 'develpoment', 'perssure', 'craming', 'curiculam', 'modren', 'upresharteable') which occasionally distract the reader. While you attempt to use topic-specific vocabulary like 'theoretical', 'practical skills', and 'academic burden', the overall range is limited. To improve, focus on mastering the spelling of common academic terms and try to incorporate more sophisticated collocations and synonyms to avoid repetitive phrasing.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout. Issues include subject-verb agreement ('education play', 'government have', 'children able to'), incorrect verb forms ('spent their majority of time in craming'), and punctuation errors. Some sentences are grammatically incomplete or awkward, such as 'In which they equally devided the theoretical and practical learning sections.' These errors are noticeable and occasionally impede the flow of meaning. Focusing on basic sentence construction and proofreading for subject-verb agreement will significantly improve your accuracy.
