Student answer (Band 6.0)
few individual believe that educational institution spend so much time teaching therotically knowledge rather than hands on experience. I partally agree with the statement its important to teach facts to build stong foundation , but practical skills are also important in modern life.
On one hand, learning facts is essential for students it helps them understand the world easily and it also develops critical thinking. for exaple subjects like mathematics and science need to study properly before applying it to real life so its important to learn about that. If someone wants to be a doctor he needs to study therotically before applying otherwise how they would know what to do during operations. Same applies to mathematics, enginners require proper calculation before making a building or a machine but it can not be possible without baisc knowledge.
On the other hand, some schools and universities did not give proper attention to practical skills which leads problems for students later in their carrer. suppose if someone is from chemistry bacground if they never tried experiments in lab for real then how would they thats therotically is it true or not. Aslo, it leads problmes in their career. whenever we looking for a job our skills are checked, that we are able to do that or not if we dont have hands on experince on anything it will be struggle in future to find jobs.
In conclusion, it is very important to learn facts to know how something works and how it could be done but practically its equally important to ahve good hands on experience.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses the prompt by taking a balanced position. The ideas are relevant, such as the necessity of theoretical knowledge for professions like medicine and engineering, and the importance of practical experience for career readiness. However, the development is somewhat limited. The arguments are repetitive, and the examples, while relevant, lack depth and specific detail. The conclusion is a bit brief and does not fully synthesize the points made. To reach a higher band, you should aim to expand on your examples with more specific scenarios or logical consequences to ensure the argument is fully developed throughout the essay.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, with a clear introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion. There is a progression of ideas, though it is sometimes hindered by mechanical transitions. You use some cohesive devices like 'On the one hand' and 'On the other hand', but these are used in a somewhat formulaic way. Referencing is occasionally unclear, such as in the sentence 'how they would know what to do', where the antecedent is not explicitly stated. To improve, focus on using a wider variety of linking words and ensuring that each sentence flows naturally into the next.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is adequate for the task but lacks precision and variety. There are several spelling errors, such as 'therotically' (theoretically), 'stong' (strong), 'exaple' (example), 'enginners' (engineers), 'baisc' (basic), 'bacground' (background), and 'ahve' (have). These errors are frequent and occasionally distracting. While you attempt to use topic-specific vocabulary like 'critical thinking' and 'hands-on experience', the range is limited. To improve, focus on mastering the spelling of common academic terms and try to incorporate more sophisticated synonyms to avoid repeating basic words like 'important' and 'study'.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede readability. Issues include subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'few individual believe', 'educational institution spend'), missing articles, and awkward phrasing (e.g., 'whenever we looking for a job'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with comma usage and run-on sentences. While the meaning is generally clear, the high frequency of errors prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. Focus on proofreading for basic subject-verb agreement and ensuring that complex sentences are constructed with correct punctuation.
