Student answer (Band 6.0)

In the contemporary world, it has been a common debate among the young generation that an educational institute mainly focuses on theoretical knowledge rather than practical skills. I completely disagree with this opinion and support that theoretical data strengthens the foundation of learning and enhances cognitive ability and imagination power.

There are several benefits which can serve by learning facts about education to children. The people who support practical skills should be taught in the learning centers. However that can only work if toddlers are aware of fundamentals of a particular subject. If they are clear about how and when to apply, then it will clear their doubts about application and meanings . For instance, if English will be taught to children, they cannot use appropriate language, until and unless they are clear about the usage and meaning of alphabets before speaking. Consequently learning basics can be acquired by theoretical information.

At the same time, in the universities there are different fields of study which can always be chosen by individuals for future professions. The theoretical data helps youngsters to create their imagination power and directly impact their cognitive ability. Moreover when dwellers collect information from books, it stays with them for a longer period in the mind. When they think about aspects of the subject that data arrange itself in the mind create elision and artificial animations. This assists individuals to imagine learning. For example for becoming a doctor, it is essential for individuals to learn all theoretical information before proceeding to implement it in practice. In the practical when they are doing particular treatment then fact and instruction originally playback in their mind in a form of imagination. Hence theoretical data in the learning center plays a vital scale to form individual thinking and imagination.

In conclusion, although practical implications are essential in individuals life, learning fact serves as a fundamental foundation of basic and as fosters the imagination powers of the young generation.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

You clearly state your position in the introduction and maintain it throughout the essay. You provide relevant arguments regarding the necessity of theoretical knowledge as a foundation for practical application. However, the development of these ideas is sometimes hindered by unclear phrasing, such as the explanation of 'elision and artificial animations' in the third paragraph, which makes the argument difficult to follow. While you address the prompt, the supporting examples, particularly the medical one, could be more effectively linked to the core argument to ensure a more persuasive and logical flow. Overall, you have addressed all parts of the task, but the depth of analysis is somewhat limited by the clarity of your expression.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear central focus. You use cohesive devices such as 'However', 'Consequently', and 'Moreover' to link ideas. However, the use of these devices is sometimes mechanical or slightly inaccurate, such as the transition 'However that can only work if toddlers are aware...' which feels abrupt. Additionally, some sentences lack clear internal cohesion, making the progression of ideas feel disjointed at times. While the overall structure is coherent, the relationships between sentences could be strengthened by more varied and precise linking words to improve the flow of your argument.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'contemporary world', 'cognitive ability', and 'fundamentals'. However, there are several instances of awkward word choice and collocation errors, such as 'learning facts about education to children' and 'plays a vital scale'. These errors occasionally impede the reader's understanding. You attempt to use more sophisticated vocabulary, but the lack of precision in these attempts limits your score. To improve, focus on learning common collocations and ensuring that the words you choose are used in the correct context to convey your intended meaning more naturally.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text. Examples include 'it has been a common debate' (tense usage), 'there are several benefits which can serve by learning' (passive voice error), and 'until and unless they are clear about the usage and meaning of alphabets' (article usage). While these errors do not completely prevent the reader from understanding your message, they are frequent enough to be noticeable. To reach a higher band, you should focus on improving your control over sentence construction, particularly regarding verb tenses and the correct use of articles and prepositions.
