Student answer (Band 6.0)

most of the individuals believe that all levels of education from juior schools to high level school they spent most of the time on learning rather than on learning practical skills . i completely agree with this statement. in this essay i will discuss my point of view on that

one of the primary reasons why practical skills has become increasingly important is that it can be more benifical l for child growth . this is particularly significant because with this it can develop child brain and it helps them to learn something with ease . although learning is crucial but practical can make them efficient. for instance , in science subject there are numerous of formulas and experiment stundent need to learn but without practical it can be difficult for the pupils .

Furthermore, in a contemporary world everthing is changing even though the education system as well . most of the subjects need practical classes . they need labs for computers in which students can practice by themselves. it helps them become more independent and effective problem solver . while memorising facts may help learners perform well in examination ,practice encourage them to apply their knowledge when dealing with unfamiliar situautions for example, students can learn basic financial mangement from the book and creating a monthly budget rather than simply studying from the textbook.

in conclusion , although learning knowlegge remains an imortant part of education , i believe that a greater emphasis should be placed on practical skills . by combining learning and practical students can learn more effectively and do better in heir future

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

You have addressed all parts of the prompt and maintained a clear position throughout the essay. Your ideas, such as the importance of practical skills in science and financial management, are relevant and supported with examples. However, the development of these ideas is somewhat limited; for instance, the argument regarding 'child growth' is a bit vague and could be expanded with more specific detail. To reach a higher band, ensure that each point is fully explored rather than just stated. Overall, you have successfully communicated your perspective on the balance between theoretical knowledge and practical application.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, with an introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. You use some cohesive devices such as 'Furthermore', 'for instance', and 'in conclusion' to link ideas. However, the use of these devices is sometimes mechanical or repetitive. Additionally, there are instances where the flow between sentences could be smoother; for example, the transition between the discussion of science experiments and the broader point about the contemporary world is slightly abrupt. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring that each paragraph has a clear topic sentence will enhance the overall coherence.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, allowing you to express your ideas clearly. You use topic-specific terms like 'financial management', 'theoretical knowledge', and 'practical classes'. However, there are several spelling errors, such as 'juior', 'benifical', 'knowlegge', and 'imortant', which occasionally distract the reader. Furthermore, some word choices are slightly imprecise, such as 'high level school' instead of 'secondary school' or 'university'. To improve, focus on proofreading for common spelling mistakes and try to incorporate more sophisticated collocations to demonstrate a wider range of vocabulary.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, though the control over these is inconsistent. There are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'practical skills has become') and article usage (e.g., 'in science subject'). Punctuation is also an issue, with inconsistent spacing around commas and periods. While these errors do not generally impede communication, they are frequent enough to lower the score. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction and proofreading for common errors like missing articles and incorrect verb forms.
