Student answer (Band 5.0)
Many people argued that all the stages of education from high school to colleges is wasting of time instead of learning hand based things. I totally disagree with the statement will explain my points in the upcoming paragraphs.
The first and foremost thing is that if learners didn’t spent their time in high school for learning things , they don’t know the value of study. For example: In school professors taught many things such as how to respect others as well as schools also help to deliver the personality , this is why schools are important.
Moreover, students those who want to become a doctor they need to spent their time in books because they don’t become the doctor only by doing practical things. For instance, if learners will only do practical like he/ she don’t learn how to do operation and they went a operation theatre and saw what happening at there and don’t know about any nerves and others parts of body they will not become a doctor.
To conclude, Some people think instead of doing step by step learning from primary school is wasting of time directly do things practical is enough , but its not a good way because all things are important for learning and becoming a successful person .

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 250 words, which significantly impacts the development of ideas. While you state your position clearly, the arguments are under-developed and lack sufficient depth. The example regarding medical training is relevant but is explained in a repetitive and somewhat confusing manner. To improve, you must expand on your points with more detailed explanations and varied examples. The conclusion is also quite brief and does not effectively summarize the main arguments. Because the response is under-length and the ideas are not fully extended, it falls into the lower band range.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organized into paragraphs, which is a positive step. However, the use of cohesive devices is limited and sometimes mechanical. For instance, 'The first and foremost thing' and 'Moreover' are used to start paragraphs, but the internal flow between sentences is often disjointed. Referencing is sometimes unclear, such as in the second paragraph where the connection between 'respect' and 'personality' is vague. To improve, focus on using a wider variety of linking words and ensure that each sentence logically follows the previous one to create a smoother progression of ideas.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is generally basic and repetitive. You rely on simple phrases like 'learning things' and 'doing practical things' multiple times, which limits your ability to express complex ideas precisely. There are also issues with word choice and collocation, such as 'hand based things' instead of 'practical skills' or 'vocational training'. To reach a higher band, you should aim to use more academic and topic-specific vocabulary. Try to avoid repeating the same words and look for synonyms that convey your meaning more accurately and professionally.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
There are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text that occasionally impede communication. Examples include subject-verb agreement issues ('Many people argued' instead of 'argue', 'students those who want' instead of 'students who want') and incorrect verb forms ('didn't spent' instead of 'didn't spend'). Sentence structures are mostly simple, and attempts at complex sentences often contain errors, such as the run-on sentence in the third paragraph regarding medical training. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, specifically tense consistency and subject-verb agreement, before attempting more complex structures.
