Student answer (Band 6.0)
Education is the key for success. Some people believe that education system is putting to much emphasis on theoritical aspects rather than practical lessons in all levels of education. I completely agree with this viewpoint. I will discuss the reasons and examples in the upcoming paragraphs.
There are several reasons behind this. This trend significantly influences the children personality and behavior. They are becoming less social and physically active. To explain, seating whole day in the classroom and listening to theory make the children feel bore. It leads to decrease their physical activity. For instance, students are spending the majority of their time in doing homework and reading, they hardly get a chance to play and socialize with each other. Hence, it reduces their social-exposure, physical movement and eventually develop different kind of personality such as introvert.
Furthermore, it increases cases of depression and sucide among school age children due to intense pressure of study. To explore, students try hard to memorize theory and achieve a good score. If they are not able to achieve it, they tend to take false decisions and wrong steps. For example, we frequently heard the news about students are trying to do sucidal attempts because they fail in their exams. In addition, practical lessons provides the opportunity to socialize and different way of learning compared to only focusing on learning facts.
However, some others argue that learning facts is very important and make a fundamental base. They said that without theoritical knowledge person will be not able to work on practical things.
In conclusion, I strongly believe that we need to mainly focus on learning practical skills to prevent negative effect on children, reduce study related-stress and aid in developing better personality. Although, learning facts is also important as well. We can take a balance approach to achieve better results for students.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses the prompt and maintains a clear position throughout. The arguments regarding physical health and mental well-being are relevant, though the link between 'learning facts' and 'suicide' is somewhat tenuous and could have been developed with more nuance. The ideas are generally extended, but the explanation of why practical skills specifically solve these issues is slightly underdeveloped. The conclusion acknowledges the opposing view, which adds balance, but the overall development of the argument is somewhat repetitive in its focus on negative outcomes rather than the benefits of practical skills.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear central topic. Cohesive devices such as 'Furthermore', 'For instance', and 'In conclusion' are used to guide the reader. However, some transitions are mechanical or slightly awkward, such as 'To explore' and 'To explain', which are not standard academic collocations. Referencing is generally clear, though the flow between sentences within paragraphs could be smoother. The paragraphing is appropriate, and the progression of ideas is logical, even if the supporting evidence is occasionally simplistic.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is adequate for the task but lacks the precision and variety required for a higher band. There are several spelling errors ('theoritical', 'sucide', 'sucidal') and minor collocation issues, such as 'take false decisions' instead of 'make poor decisions' or 'take drastic measures'. While the student attempts to use topic-specific vocabulary like 'emphasis', 'fundamental base', and 'balanced approach', the range is somewhat limited. To improve, the student should focus on accurate spelling and using more sophisticated collocations to express complex ideas.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. However, there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally distract the reader, such as 'seating whole day' (sitting), 'make the children feel bore' (bored), and 'practical lessons provides' (subject-verb agreement). Articles are also frequently misused or omitted, such as 'in all levels' instead of 'at all levels'. While the meaning is generally clear, the frequency of these errors prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. More attention to subject-verb agreement and article usage is necessary.
