Student answer (Band 5.0)
In recent years people thinks that children spent time only for academic learning. In this essay we are discussing about my opinion about how students learn practical skills.
Firstly my opinion is disagree with this viewpoint, because learning institutions must giving academic and practical skill to every student’s.This is facts universities are not only for notebooks study but also for personality development.
For example my colleague he is a school student and he have base idea about car repairing , cooking and house maintenance . He said he learn this from school, this is my personal experience . On the other hand I was watched a video from facebook schooling students were selling some handmade products in front of their house such as paper bags, pen etc. Volunteering is the best training from schools and universities. This will make a good society and world , it must help to every students more confidence and mature.
I strongly disagree with given opinion, because of this reason teachers definitely giving room for learning practical skills . This is best for personally and professionally for each every student’s in their day by day life.students are the coming world and teachers are their parents.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.5
The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 250 words, which significantly impacts the development of ideas. While you state a position, the arguments are underdeveloped and lack depth. The examples provided, such as the colleague repairing cars or the Facebook video, are brief and do not fully support the argument regarding the balance between facts and practical skills. To improve, you must expand on your points with more detailed explanations and ensure you reach the required length to allow for a full exploration of the topic.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay is divided into paragraphs, but the logical progression of ideas is often disjointed. The use of cohesive devices is limited and sometimes mechanical, such as the repetitive use of 'Firstly' and 'On the other hand'. Referencing is occasionally unclear, making it difficult for the reader to follow the flow of your argument. Improving the use of linking words and ensuring that each paragraph has a clear, singular focus would greatly enhance the overall structure and readability of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is basic and repetitive, which limits your ability to express complex ideas. There are several instances of word-choice errors, such as 'notebooks study' instead of 'academic study' and 'schooling students' instead of 'school students'. You rely on simple, everyday language, and there is little evidence of less common or idiomatic vocabulary. To achieve a higher score, you should focus on using more precise terminology related to education and skill development, and work on improving your collocations.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 4.5
There are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text that occasionally impede communication. Issues include subject-verb agreement ('people thinks', 'students spent'), incorrect verb forms ('must giving', 'I was watched'), and misuse of apostrophes ('student’s'). The sentence structures are predominantly simple, with limited attempts at complex sentences. To improve, you need to focus on basic grammatical accuracy, particularly verb tenses and pluralization, and practice constructing more complex sentences using subordinating conjunctions to show relationships between your ideas.
