Student answer (Band 6.5)

A common public viewpoint is that the stages of qualification from primary to higher education consist of unnecessarily lengthy theories that often deprive of real world skills in students. Conversely, some human beings opine that layout of the curriculum is designed to catre the students according to their adequate intelligent quotient and should not be ignored by the parents and teacher. From my perspective, incorporating theoretical knowledge with functional competencies is highly beneficial for students to harness their skills early in their childhood.

First of all, due to the infusion of Artificial Intelligence, the world is evolving rapidly, collaborating traditional teaching methods with advanced technology at an early age for children, such as coding, web development and animation creation will yield profound results for a future with a sustainable career with sustainable career. Furthermore, incorporating practical problem solving skills, such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, and painting. This gives optimum knowledge to the studentsto conquer the basic life difficulties they encounter. Many new skill based schools have opened in the rural part of India under the skill career scheme to make student self-resilient and independent for career oppotunities.

Moreover, the foundation of education must be strengthened by the pillars of infusing absolute knowledge and expertise to achieve the epitome of success. In my view, learning never stops, espescially in this competitve world. Enhancing the required skills to pursue better growth must be promoted by institute and the goverment globally. For instance, leading corporations like TCS, Wipro, and Infosys frequently organize training programs for new recruits to upgrade their core competencies in alignment with evolving market demands

To encapsulate, in this dynamic world, extraordinary skills combined with the excellent educational foundation are key parameters for personal and professional sucess. Consequently,, children should be advised to strive for excellence instead of quick success by their gaurdians and educators.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5

The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position that both theoretical and practical skills are necessary. The ideas are relevant, particularly the mention of AI and vocational training in India. However, the development is somewhat uneven. The second paragraph introduces several ideas (AI, coding, plumbing, carpentry) in a list-like fashion without fully exploring how these specific skills bridge the gap between theory and practice. While the position is clear, the argument could be more cohesive by focusing on the balance between the two rather than just listing examples. Overall, the response covers all parts of the task well.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5

The essay is logically organized into paragraphs, each with a central theme. Cohesive devices such as 'First of all', 'Furthermore', 'Moreover', and 'To encapsulate' are used to guide the reader. However, some transitions feel slightly mechanical or forced. For instance, the link between the introduction and the first body paragraph is a bit abrupt. Additionally, there are minor issues with punctuation, such as the double comma in 'Consequently,,', which slightly disrupts the flow. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate distinct ideas, contributing to the overall coherence of the piece.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

The student demonstrates an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, including terms like 'functional competencies', 'sustainable career', and 'epitome of success'. There are some instances of awkward phrasing or minor errors, such as 'catre' (spelling), 'deprive of real world skills in students' (collocation), and 'sustainable career with sustainable career' (repetition). While the student attempts to use more sophisticated vocabulary, some choices are slightly imprecise or misused. Nevertheless, the vocabulary is sufficient to convey the intended meaning without significant difficulty for the reader.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0

The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. There are several grammatical errors throughout the text, such as 'collaborating traditional teaching methods' (should be 'combining' or 'integrating'), 'studentsto' (spacing error), and 'espescially' (spelling). The sentence 'This gives optimum knowledge to the studentsto conquer the basic life difficulties they encounter' is a fragment as it lacks a clear subject-verb connection to the previous sentence. While these errors are noticeable, they do not impede communication. A wider variety of error-free complex structures would be required for a higher band score.
