Student answer (Band 6.0)
The current educational system has become more theoretical rather than practical. Many individuals argue that from primary school to college, education system spent majority of time in learning about logical theories and factual knowledge rather than learning technical skills including sports, computer skills, financial skills and many more. To be honest I am totally agree with these critics.
To begin with, in the present time our academic system force students for rote memorization. As a result, student memorize the actual theory of the unit but they do not understand the basic meaning of the theory. Furthermore, this kind of knowledge can help students to gain good marks in the exam but these type of education technique do not help in their mental development. For instance, we used to learn about the Newton rules in the higher secondary school. We always tried to memorize the sentence of the rules so that we can gain good marks in the class but we were not acknowledge about its actual facts and how it works in a practical life.
Furthermore, educational system only focus on the syllabus of the standard. In addition, they do not spare time for children personal growth by learning them about different skills such as operation of machine, first-aid, software development, cooking, playing instruments. However, the education is not the only medium to become successful person. So teachers and educators should also focus on other curriculum activities so that person can widely grow. Foe example, Mukesh bhai Ambani is the richest person in the world from last two decades although he is tenth failed person. Furthermore, the reason behind his success is his financial and practical skill about the business management.
In the conclusion, many people claim that education system has bounded till to facts rather than practical skill. In my perspective, only theoretical knowledge is not enough in life. They should also focus on practical skills and knowledge.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
You have clearly stated your position in the introduction and maintained it throughout the essay. The ideas are relevant, such as the focus on rote memorization versus practical application. However, the development of these ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, the example of Mukesh Ambani is a bit anecdotal and could be better integrated to support the argument about educational reform. To reach a higher band, ensure that each paragraph fully explores the implications of your argument rather than just listing examples. The conclusion is a bit brief and could summarize your main points more effectively to reinforce your position.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into clear paragraphs, which helps the reader follow your argument. You use some cohesive devices like 'To begin with', 'Furthermore', and 'In the conclusion'. However, some transitions feel a bit mechanical or repetitive. For example, 'Furthermore' is used at the start of two consecutive paragraphs. Additionally, the referencing is occasionally unclear, such as in the sentence 'they do not spare time for children personal growth by learning them about different skills', where the pronoun 'they' lacks a clear antecedent. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring clear logical flow between sentences would enhance the coherence of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
You have a sufficient range of vocabulary to convey your ideas, including terms like 'theoretical', 'rote memorization', and 'curriculum activities'. However, there are several instances of awkward word choice and collocation errors, such as 'learning them about different skills' (should be 'teaching them') and 'tenth failed person' (should be 'a school dropout'). There are also minor errors in word formation, such as 'acknowledge' instead of 'knowledgeable'. To improve, focus on using more precise collocations and ensure that you are using words in their correct grammatical form to express your ideas more naturally.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
You demonstrate a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While your meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text. Common issues include subject-verb agreement ('education system spent'), missing articles ('in a practical life'), and incorrect verb forms ('learning them about'). Punctuation is generally functional, but there are some awkward phrasings that hinder the flow. To achieve a higher band, you need to increase the frequency of error-free sentences and pay closer attention to basic grammar rules, particularly regarding articles and verb tense consistency.
