Student answer (Band 5.5)

Education plays a crucial role in today's world. Some individual think that in all universities and school, theoritical learning gets more attention than practical skills. I patially agree with this viewpoint because both skills play equal role in education.

On the one hand, Gaining theoretical knowledge provide student with a necassary foundation for further learning. Student who understand the theortical work can easily manage the practical work. For Example: If Medical student have the knowlegde of all the Medicines and health issuses , then a mediacl student can apply practical thing during their training and provide the patients with appropriate treatment. Also, in today's world, Anybody can join the buisness and their filed job by passing the therotical exam and after that the chance to show thier practical knowledge.

On the other hand, knowledge life is also not enough for a person to succed in a life. Students also need a communication skill, team-work and time- management. They can learn all this skills by working in a group, project works at school. in addition to this, A person with proper confidence and team work can manage all the projects in easy way and can also get success in thier business. All these skills are very important For instance, the student of business can succed by having proper learning facts and if they know how to communicate with customers or manage the projects.

To conclude with, theoritical facts are important however the practical skills can't be avoided. Therefore, A combination of practical and theorticial skills can bulid a perfect adult life.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

The response addresses all parts of the task by presenting a clear position and discussing both theoretical learning and practical skills. For instance, the writer introduces a partially agreed stance right away and supports it with examples such as medical students and business education. However, some ideas are under-developed or somewhat repetitive, which prevents a higher rating. The medical student example, while relevant, lacks full expansion on how practical skills complement facts, and phrases like 'Anybody can join the buisness' remain slightly underdeveloped and unclear. Overall, the main arguments are visible and relevant to the prompt, successfully covering the core requirements of the task.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The essay presents a coherent overall arrangement with a clear paragraph-by-paragraph structure that separates the introduction, body paragraphs, and conclusion. Cohesive devices are used to guide the reader, such as 'On the one hand' and 'On the other hand'. However, cohesion is sometimes faulty or mechanical. For example, transitional phrases like 'in addition to this' and 'To conclude with' feel slightly repetitive or awkward, and referencing is occasionally unclear, such as the ambiguous pronoun use in 'knowledge life is also not enough'. Paragraphing is present and logical, but the internal flow within paragraphs could be smoother to achieve a stronger sense of progression.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

The vocabulary used is adequate for the task, providing a minimally sufficient range to discuss education and practical skills. The writer attempts some less common vocabulary, such as 'foundation', 'appropriate treatment', and 'communication skill', but these attempts are often accompanied by noticeable errors in word choice, spelling, and word form. Examples include 'theoritical' instead of 'theoretical', 'patially' instead of 'partially', 'buisness', and 'filed job'. These spelling and word choice inaccuracies are frequent enough to cause some distraction for the reader, though they do not completely impede overall communication.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The response demonstrates a limited range of structures, featuring a mix of simple and complex sentence forms. While the writer attempts complex sentences, these attempts are often faulty. Examples of grammatical errors include subject-verb agreement issues like 'Some individual think' and 'If Medical student have', as well as article omissions and pluralisation errors such as 'a mediacl student can apply practical thing' and 'succeed in a life'. Punctuation and capitalization errors also occur mid-sentence. These frequent errors persist throughout the text, occasionally causing difficulty for the reader, but the meaning of the sentences remains largely recoverable.
