Student answer (Band 6.0)
It is said that in all levels of education, including either schools or universities, teaching facts are prioritised instead of practical skills.
I completetly agree with this statement since I had the same experience during my educational background at school and University and it made me feel very unmotivated which made me a under average student. I strongly believe I would be a better student if I had more practical classes.
At school, I was at a stage of life that I had lots of energy and creativity and staying many hours inside of a classroom reading books and/or watching class about topics that I was not interested was quite unmotivating. From my perspective, if the subjects were taught in a practical methodology exploring activities outside of the classes, Science, History, Geography would be much more interesting.
At University I had the same situation. The class and cases were very theorical, which did not help to develop my-self more a real-world context and situation. I just started improving my professional skills when I started internship. At this point, I was living real-life situations and the University cases started making more sense. So, at the end, I learned significantly more at my internship than my Univesity course.
In conclusion, it's known that learning has to be something exciting and useful. Following this, I see that educational style was to be reanalyzed to include subjects, themes and methodology that will in fact make kids learn. At the same time, Universities needs to provide more real business situations that prepares students for the market.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
Your position is clear from the introduction: “I completely agree,” and the conclusion maintains that view. You address both school and university education, using personal experience to explain why practical learning can increase engagement and prepare students for work. The internship example is particularly relevant and shows how theory became more meaningful in real situations. This gives the response a solid, relevant argument. However, some points are asserted rather than fully explained: for example, the suggested outdoor teaching of Science, History and Geography is not illustrated with a specific activity or learning benefit. The conclusion’s claim that learning should be “exciting and useful” could also be linked more directly to the reasons developed in the body. More detailed examples and explanation would make the argument more fully developed.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction states your view, two body paragraphs discuss school and university, and a conclusion restates your recommendation. This makes the progression easy to follow, and phrases such as “At school,” “At University,” and “In conclusion” help signal each stage. The ideas within the university paragraph also move logically from theoretical classes to an internship and then to improved professional learning. Some connections are less smooth or precise, however. The opening sentence of the second paragraph repeats the position rather than previewing the reasons, while “Following this” does not clearly show how the preceding idea leads to the recommendation. Use more specific links between claims and examples, and make references such as “this” unmistakably point to a particular idea.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “practical skills,” “professional skills,” “real-world context,” and “internship,” and these terms help communicate your main argument. There are also attempts at more specific expression, such as “educational background” and “methodology.” However, several word choices and collocations are inaccurate or unnatural, which limits precision: “watching class,” “practical methodology,” and “develop my-self more a real-world context” do not express the intended meanings naturally. Spelling errors such as “completetly,” “theorical,” and “Univesity” are noticeable. Aim to learn vocabulary in common word partnerships and check spelling carefully; for instance, use “attending lessons,” “hands-on teaching methods,” and “develop my skills in a real-world context.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt a mix of simple and complex sentences, including conditional structures such as “I would be a better student if I had more practical classes” and a relative clause in “a stage of life that I had lots of energy.” These attempts show some range, and the overall meaning is generally understandable. However, errors in sentence construction, agreement, articles and verb forms recur. For example, “teaching facts are prioritised” needs a different grammatical construction, “a under average student” has an article error, and “Universities needs” has subject–verb disagreement. The sentence beginning “The class and cases were very theorical” also has an unclear structure. Practise checking each sentence for a clear subject and verb, correct agreement, and complete grammatical patterns; this will make your complex ideas easier to read.
