Student answer (Band 5.5)

Majority of indiviuals think that in education from schools to collage students spend their alot of time to learn facts but this is not enough for practical skills.i am disagree with this statement and i will discuss some reasons of my disagreement in following paragraphs .

It cannot be denying that students learn some factis from schools but nowadays, schools and universities provide 70 percent practicals instead of theory. If learners send their more time on practicals in their schools and collages then they will learn more practicals rather ten learing facts.

Nowadays, all universities and collages give projects to their students. ninety percent of teacher of all institutes give some projects and give me reseachs to do and when students work on this type of projects then they try some different types of methods for complete their task for achive good marks and this are also practicals. As a result students learn practical skills.

In addition to this, students in every school and collage have chance to attend practical classes. For example, nowadays, all learning institutes has seprate practical labs for differnt subjects so, in this labs students can do any types of practicals related to their studies.

In conclusion, in the levels of educations students can learn and spent their time on practical skills not only on learing facts and nowadays students have alot of options for lear practical skills.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

Your position is clear: you disagree that education gives too much attention to facts and too little to practical skills. You support this with relevant examples, including projects and practical laboratories, and you provide an introduction and conclusion. However, the response only partly develops the argument. The claim that institutions provide “70 percent practicals” and that “ninety percent” of teachers assign projects is broad and unsupported; explain where these figures come from or use a specific example from your experience. The discussion also focuses mainly on practical learning and does not fully consider how facts and practical skills are balanced across different education levels. The response is 18 words below the required minimum, which limits the space available to develop your reasons.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs presenting examples, and a conclusion. Linking phrases such as “As a result,” “In addition to this,” and “In conclusion” help show the relationship between points. The main progression is understandable, but the body paragraphs repeat the general claim that projects and practical classes teach practical skills rather than extending the argument with distinct explanations. Some connections are also unclear, particularly “give me reseachs to do,” which makes the example difficult to follow. To improve, give each paragraph a separate focus and develop it in a clear sequence: make a point, explain how it supports your position, and add a specific example. Use linking expressions where they clarify the logic rather than as a routine at the start of each section.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use relevant topic vocabulary, including “practical skills,” “projects,” “theory,” and “practical labs,” so the reader can identify the subject of your argument. However, the range is limited and several words or phrases are repeated, especially “practicals,” “students,” and “schools and collages.” There are also noticeable spelling and word-choice errors, such as “indiviuals,” “factis,” “seprate,” and “learing,” which can distract the reader. Some expressions are not natural in context, including “learn more practicals” and “give me reseachs to do.” Build a wider set of accurate phrases for discussing education and skills, and check spelling and collocations carefully. More precise wording would make your examples clearer and your argument more convincing.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple statements and longer sentences with clauses, for example, “If learners send their more time on practicals … then they will learn…”. This shows an effort to express cause and effect, but the range is limited and complex sentences are often not controlled accurately. Errors in sentence structure, verb forms, agreement, and articles appear in examples such as “I am disagree,” “all learning institutes has,” and “in this labs students can do.” Capitalisation and punctuation are also inconsistent, including the lowercase “i” and the run-on opening paragraph. Practise building accurate sentences with one main idea and then add subordinate clauses gradually. Pay particular attention to subject–verb agreement, verb patterns after “agree,” and sentence boundaries.
