Student answer (Band 6.0)

In the contemporary world, education becomes more crucial part of an individual's life. Without any relevant qualification, noone can recognize themselves in this competitive world. Some people think that in all the stages of schooling, from primary to post-graduate level, too much time is delivered on knowing facts and not sufficient time on learning practical knowledge, I believe that hybrid approach would be effective for scholars. This essay will discuss the valid reasons with an appropriate examples in the ensuing pragarphs.

The prime reasons that practical learning can enhance students ability to know concepts. This is mainly because noone can know any information without doing it to by their own experiment. For example, medical students do their practicals on animates along with their theoretical aspects. Consequently, they can be more confident about their practice and would be able to learn every concepts deeply by doing such practicals like dissections, surgery, and many more. Moreover, children can develop their cognitive power because at the early age, their mental strength is too sharp. So, they can easily adapt whatever they can learn by watching things rather than only reading books. For example, teachers give certain kinds of things to the toddlers, which would be helpful to memorise things in the cenvenient way.

Furthermore, another significant reason is that graduates can get better job opportunities if they have enough time of internship experience. This is due to the fact that companies required those employee, who have wide range of work experience in the perticular field. To illustrate this, top ranked universities are provided specific time period for their students to acquire better real-time experience. As a result, they can get better job at mutinational companies in their perticular field.

In contrary, others believe that educators more focused on learnig facts rather than on practical skills. This is because without knowing facts, noone can get right direction for their future. Hence, it should be crucial to get factual data to learn things very effectively.

In conclusion, although lots of educational organisations spend their time on their candidates to learn theoretical parts, I believe that practicality is as much important as theoretical part. Not only improve understanding of critical concepts, cognitive power, but also creates better opportunity for future jobs. Therefore, I believe that hybrid pattern is very right decision for every organisations.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

Your position is clear: you favour a hybrid approach, stating that practical learning is “as much important as theoretical” learning. You address both sides by explaining how practical work can deepen understanding and improve employment prospects, then acknowledging that factual knowledge provides direction. These relevant reasons support the task, and the examples of medical students and internships help illustrate them. This meets the task well overall, but the discussion is uneven: the point about children learning through observation is less clearly connected to the balance between facts and practical skills, and the opposing view is only briefly explained. Develop that counterargument and clarify how schools should balance the two forms of learning to make the response more fully supported.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, separate paragraphs for supporting reasons, a counterpoint, and a conclusion. Linking expressions such as “Moreover,” “Furthermore,” and “In conclusion” make the progression easy to follow, and the main position remains consistent. However, some connections are mechanical or unclear. The opening of the second paragraph, “The prime reasons that practical learning can enhance…,” is not a complete, clear topic sentence, while “In contrary” does not accurately signal the contrast. The paragraph about children also shifts from practical learning to cognitive development without a clear explanation of the link. Use more precise transitions and make each paragraph’s central point explicit, with supporting examples clearly tied back to the argument.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You attempt a range of topic-related vocabulary, including “practical learning,” “theoretical aspects,” “internship experience,” and “cognitive power.” This gives you enough language to discuss education and employment, and your meaning is generally understandable. However, inaccurate word choice and collocation are noticeable and sometimes make ideas awkward: “time is delivered on knowing facts,” “recognize themselves,” and “companies required those employee” do not express the intended meanings naturally. There are also spelling errors such as “pragarphs,” “cenvenient,” and “mutinational.” Aim for more precise, natural combinations and check spelling carefully. For example, use “time is spent learning facts” and “gain practical experience” rather than translating phrases word by word.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You use both simple and complex sentence forms, including clauses introduced by “because,” “which,” and “although,” and you attempt structures such as “Not only…but also.” The overall meaning can usually be followed, but grammatical errors recur in sentence construction, agreement, articles, and verb forms. For instance, “The prime reasons that practical learning can enhance…” is incomplete, “companies required those employee” has problems with tense and number, and “Not only improve understanding…” lacks a clear subject and a parallel second clause. There are also errors in patterns such as “as much important as.” Review sentence completeness, subject–verb agreement, plural forms, and article use. Building accurate versions of your complex sentences will help you show range more reliably.
