Student answer (Band 5.5)
In today's modern society, education plays a significant role in shaping individuals and societies, and different approaches to learning continue to be widely debated. Some people believe that primary schools and college are more focused toward the learning more about the fact and bookish knoweldge, whereas focusing on building their practical skillsets. I strongly agree with the provided staement and would elucidate the reason for my viewpoints.
On the one hand, In today's society everything has been development and advanced, but when it comes to education sector, schools and college are still lacking back with their old traditonal method to teach their students. While, in the pratical world the companies and employer are looking for a candidate with blend of book knowdlege and pratical knoweldge. It can't be dennied that student also need to know about the fact but it also equivallent imporatant for them to have a pratical knoweldge to use that facts in the practical worlds. For instance, In today's society, an experienced candidate with the pratical skilsets considered to have more opportunities than a fresher who just came out of the college. This not only create the stressfull environment for the fresher candidate but also leads to demoralise his temptaiton to get their dream job and pushes back in the life. Therefore, the practical skillsets are considered to equally important in outside world as an actual fact and bookish knowledge for any student and if they get this in primaty schools can lead to beneifit more their future.
In the conclusion, Although, having a knoweldge of fact and rule and rugulations from any book is important for any student in their career but also having an practical skillset to use the knowledge in day to day life is more improtant and crucial for buidling their career. Government need to focus on this situation need to take some necessary measure to change the method of teaching in the primary schools to university and should focus on providing blend knowedlge of book and pratical skills to the student.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
Your position is clear: you strongly agree that education gives too much attention to facts and not enough to practical skills. You address the issue across education and explain why practical abilities matter, using the example of employers preferring experienced candidates. This is relevant, but the discussion focuses mainly on employment and does not fully explain how practical learning could benefit pupils at different stages, such as through classroom activities or university training. The example is also general rather than specific, and the claim that practical skills should be taught in primary school is not developed. To strengthen the response, explain the consequences of an imbalance in factual learning and give a concrete example of a practical skill or teaching approach.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction states your view, the main paragraph develops the employment argument, and the conclusion restates your position and recommends change. Linking expressions such as “On the one hand,” “For instance,” and “Therefore” help signal relationships between ideas. However, “On the one hand” suggests a contrasting second side that is not provided, and several sentences combine multiple points, making the progression harder to follow. The conclusion also introduces government action without developing this proposal in the main discussion. Organise the body around a clear sequence—for example, the problem, its effect on students, and a practical solution—and use references and transitions that accurately reflect those relationships.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You attempt vocabulary suited to the topic, including “practical skillsets,” “bookish knowledge,” “demoralise,” and “method of teaching.” However, the range is limited by repeated use of “practical,” “knowledge,” and “student,” while numerous spelling errors and inaccurate word forms make some phrases difficult to understand. Examples include “knoweldge,” “traditonal,” “equivallent,” and “temptaiton”; “blend of book knowledge and practical knowledge” is also an awkward collocation. Aim for accurate, natural combinations and vary repeated terms, such as using “hands-on abilities,” “academic content,” or “workplace experience” where appropriate. Proofreading spelling and checking collocations would make your ideas clearer and more precise.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and complex sentence forms, including a concession in the conclusion beginning “Although” and a conditional idea about teaching practical skills in primary school. However, some sentence structures are faulty or incomplete, and errors in agreement, articles, verb forms, and punctuation sometimes make the meaning difficult to follow. For example, “an experienced candidate … considered to have” lacks a clear auxiliary, while “Government need to focus on this situation need to take” joins two clauses without a workable structure. The opening sentence of the main paragraph also has an unclear construction after “While.” Practise building complete sentences with one clear main clause, then add subordinate clauses carefully; check subject–verb agreement and sentence boundaries during revision.
