Student answer (Band 5.5)
In this era, some people believe that students are spending alot of time to gain theoretical knowledge intead of that they should also focus on practical skills. I completely agree with the statemnet, learners have to sharp their skills in practical knowladge.
First and foremost, in this advancement of technology, most of the jobs are already taken by arifical intelligent, people are becoming job less. for example, In USA now government has introduces the trucks which are driverless, they are fully independent, this results layoffs of many truck drivers. Furthermore, recently Google which is very renound company has given layoffs to almost 20% of its total employees. Secoundly, students almost spends 23 years of their life to be graduated and they have less on hands experience, because they just focused on theories, still they have to face struggle and competition to get a job, eventhough due to their monotnus schedule they never been to many family functions and never get time to explore the real world as they have pressure of studies.
Adding more into this, practical knowledge is more important than theoretical, if any body familiar with any skills, there are very less chances that he or she has to survive for a job, because skill jobs are very hard to be get replaced by artificial intelligency. Last but not the least, its is very expensive for parents to ful-fill all the needs of their child, as now due to high inflation rate parents are already struggling and they feel burden to spent money on their children education.
In conclusion, government and parents should take a bow and ecourage the student to grab the practical knowledge along with the learning, because both are equally important for their future.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
Your position is clear from the introduction: you completely agree that education should give greater attention to practical skills. You offer relevant reasons, including limited workplace experience, competition for jobs, and the potential value of skills as technology changes employment. The examples about driverless trucks and company layoffs help illustrate your concerns, although the connection between layoffs and the need to teach practical skills is not fully explained. The point about education costs is also relevant but is introduced briefly and is not clearly linked to your main argument. To strengthen the response, explain how practical learning would prepare students for work and develop each supporting example more fully.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion, and the main position is generally easy to follow. Sequencing phrases such as “First and foremost,” “Furthermore,” and “In conclusion” signal stages in the argument. However, progression within the body paragraphs is sometimes unclear: the discussion moves from automation to study duration, family events and then education costs without consistently showing how each point supports the central claim. Some linking phrases, including “Adding more into this” and “Last but not the least,” sound mechanical or awkward. Group related ideas together and use clearer links that explain relationships, such as cause and effect, rather than relying mainly on signposting expressions.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You attempt vocabulary relevant to education and employment, including “theoretical knowledge,” “practical skills,” “competition,” “inflation rate,” and “driverless.” This gives you enough language to communicate the main ideas, but the range is limited and several noticeable spelling and word-choice errors make parts less clear. Examples include “artifical intelligent,” “monotnus schedule,” and “artificial intelligency”; “job less” is also an inaccurate form. Some combinations are unnatural, such as “sharp their skills” and “grab the practical knowledge.” Aim to learn accurate word forms and collocations as complete phrases, and choose precise terms—for example, distinguish between job losses caused by automation and the skills that may help workers adapt.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You use both simple statements and attempts at longer, more complex sentences, including a clause beginning “because” and a sentence linking study duration with employment difficulties. However, control is uneven, and errors in sentence boundaries, verb forms, agreement and articles sometimes make the reader work to understand the meaning. For example, “most of the jobs are already taken … people are becoming job less” joins separate ideas with a comma, while “students almost spends” has a subject–verb agreement problem. The sentence beginning “because they just focused on theories” also shifts awkwardly between past and present forms. Practise building complex sentences with clear clause boundaries, consistent tense, and accurate agreement; then check punctuation and articles during revision.
