Student answer (Band 6.0)
Some people say that in all stages of education, all the institutions made students to learn facts rather than learning pratical skills. Yes, I agree with these and the essay will discuss more about the reasons behind the given statement.
To begin with, the education system we all are grown is in such a way that everyone believed that what all written in the books were true and blindly followed that. Furthermore, the children were also habituated to pursue knowledge by the way their teachers taught them. For example, mostly in the secondary school, students were influenced by both their parents and professors to get good ranks to get placed in top universities. As a result, they will only focus on the lessons they learned through their academics instead of the hands on experience.
Although we get enough knowledge through number of publications, there is much more left in the outside world to understand and explore. Moreover, in coming future, the world is going to change in a drastic way where the written facts will be vanished forever. For instance, in olden days, people were not much aware of the space and the galaxy. But now the individuals were interested in exploring the universe and bringing all the findings on to our desk. Overall, a student can gain more knowledge through performing experiments and develop the future rather than just learning facts.
In conclusion, the staff and the parents should encourage and teach their kids to learn through experimenting things at every level of education. I still agree that the change in the world will come with change in the education system.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
Your position is clear: you agree that education gives too much attention to facts and not enough to practical learning. You address the topic through discussion of book-based learning, pressure to achieve high grades, and the value of experiments, so the response remains relevant. The example about students aiming for top universities helps explain why they may prioritise academic lessons. However, some points are asserted rather than fully explained. The claim that written facts will “be vanished forever” is unclear and does not convincingly support the argument, while the space-exploration example needs a clearer link to practical skills in schools or universities. Develop each reason with a specific explanation or example to make the argument more fully supported.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs presenting related reasons, and a conclusion that restates your position. Paragraphs generally have a central focus, and linking expressions such as “To begin with,” “Furthermore,” and “In conclusion” help guide the reader. This makes the essay coherent overall. At times, however, connections between ideas are mechanical or unclear. “Although we get enough knowledge through number of publications” introduces a contrast that is not fully developed, and the move from changing facts to space exploration is abrupt. Some references, such as “that” in the first body paragraph, do not clearly identify what they refer to. Use transitions that show the precise relationship between ideas and make each example’s connection to your main point explicit.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use an adequate range of vocabulary for the topic, including “education system,” “hands on experience,” “publications,” “experiments,” and “exploring the universe.” These choices communicate your main ideas, and you attempt some less common expressions. However, several word-choice, collocation, and spelling problems reduce precision: “pratical” is misspelled, “the education system we all are grown” is not a natural expression, and “bringing all the findings on to our desk” is awkward in this context. “Written facts will be vanished” also makes the intended meaning difficult to identify. Aim for natural academic collocations and check spelling and word forms. More precise vocabulary for applied learning, such as “hands-on activities” or “practical training,” would help express your argument clearly.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and complex sentence forms, including clauses introduced by “Although” and “where,” and most of the message remains understandable. There are some grammatical errors, however, particularly with verb forms and sentence construction. For example, “all the institutions made students to learn” should use a structure such as “institutions make students learn,” while “the education system we all are grown” needs a correctly formed passive or relative clause. Tense control is also inconsistent in “students were influenced” followed by “they will only focus,” and “the individuals were interested” does not fit the present-day meaning. Review verb patterns after “make,” maintain consistent tense, and check subject–verb agreement and articles when editing.
