Student answer (Band 5.5)
Now a days education plays an important role in everyones life. In which there is an argument that learning institues spent too mush time to provide infromation of fact rather that practical skills.I totally agree to this notion and my opinin will justified in uncoming paragraphs with suitable explation.
Suppoting my argument to the giving statement , I firmy belive that knowledage of facts provide by all levle of universities are not usefull of better career.Because , when students get graduates and allpy for job, at that time compaies aked for practical knowledages. To cite an example, In Amazon, when individuals apply from the job they have to provide practical skils of Sigma, AWS system and many More.
Moreover, to support this statment, bookes knowledages not always true. This is because, many information was too old and they prined many time without proper research, as a consequence, student have to learn false information. To illustrate it, In th interview UPSE exam , Examianer asked the question about histroy of India archeological monuments, but candidate was not able to provide answer as, they learn fats at scool and universities.
Explaining some other supporting points in faover of this notion that it believe that to increase the confidence and independace practical skill is needed. This is because, person can able to do work alone with more confidence if thay have practical knowledage of work. For example, people hoe work at welding site they have to have to learing welding practicaly to join metal parts.
In conlusion, practical skills is necessary for student rather thatn learning facts.I totally support that because of confidence, better career, unproper knowleage, practical skills is more important.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You state a clear, consistent position: “I totally agree,” and the conclusion restates your view. The response addresses the question with relevant reasons, including career preparation, confidence and the possible limitations of relying on factual learning. The Amazon example and the welding example help make the argument concrete. However, some points are less fully explained than others. For instance, the claim that textbooks contain outdated or false information is not clearly connected to why practical skills should receive more time, and the UPSC example is difficult to follow. Develop each reason by explaining the comparison between factual learning and practical training, and make sure examples directly support that comparison. This would make the argument more complete and persuasive.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, three supporting paragraphs and a conclusion. Each body paragraph introduces a separate reason, and signposts such as “Moreover” and “In conclusion” help readers follow the broad progression. However, some linking phrases are mechanical or unclear, including “Explaining some other supporting points in favour of this notion,” while the opening sentence fragment beginning “In which” interrupts the introduction’s flow. Connections within paragraphs also need strengthening: the textbook paragraph moves from outdated information to an exam example without clearly showing how this proves the value of practical skills. Use simpler topic sentences and explain the relationship between each claim and example. Clearer referencing and more natural transitions would make the progression easier to follow.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
You attempt vocabulary relevant to education and employment, including “practical skills,” “career,” “confidence,” and “independence,” and you include some specific terms such as “AWS” and “welding.” These choices show an effort to discuss the topic beyond very basic language. However, spelling and word-choice errors are frequent and sometimes make meaning difficult to recover, for example “knowledage,” “institues,” “unproper knowleage,” and “bookes knowledages.” Some combinations are also unnatural, such as “provide information of fact” and “practical knowledages.” Check spelling carefully and learn common collocations as complete phrases, such as “factual knowledge,” “gain practical experience,” and “prepare students for employment.” More accurate, natural phrasing would improve clarity.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, using clauses with “because,” “when,” and “if,” as in “when students get graduates and apply for job.” This gives the response some structural variety. However, errors in sentence formation, verb forms, articles, agreement and punctuation occur across the essay. The opening “In which there is an argument” is a fragment, and “person can able to do work alone” has an incorrect verb construction. Other examples include “practical skills is necessary” and “when individuals apply from the job.” These errors sometimes make relationships between ideas unclear. Practise building complete sentences with accurate subject–verb agreement and verb patterns, and review articles and sentence boundaries. Proofreading each sentence for its main subject and verb would help.
