Student answer (Band 5.5)
It is believed by some that educational institutes of all levels are noe greatly emphasis on providing theoretical knwolegde rather than pratical one. While I believe theory part is important to gain knwlodge ,pratical skills are more important.
Admittedlty, all eductaional places follow a pattern of learning where theory part is conducted in the class throughout the whole year to pass the examination.By conductng exams ,students capapbilities are recognised which depends on their mark sheets. As a result, they become able to move to nect grade.
However, there are some reasons why I believe pratical skills are also important .First of all, undoubtdely, examination are required to check the ability of students's theory knwoledge.Students may pass the exam with good marks but when they move to their further life where they have to proof their knwlodge ,they are highly likely to fail because they never did experiment in their educuational journey.
Secondly,it is the fact that those students who attennd the internship after comepelting their studies are more succeded in later life.Pratice n real life situation makes them more condifent and teaches them many life learning lessons which is restricted while studiing theiry opart only. Thus, theory part is not only sufficent which helps in real life.
To sum up,I would like to reietrate that although ,memorisation is important part of eduction system to pass out the exam ,the importance of prtaical skills which is a real life skill can not be denied.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You give a clear, relevant position: theory has value, but practical skills are more important. The response also offers two supporting points, including that students may struggle to apply knowledge after exams and that internships can build confidence. However, these ideas are only briefly explained, and the internship point would be stronger with a specific example of a skill learned or a later benefit. The discussion also focuses mainly on practical learning rather than fully exploring whether too much time is spent memorising facts across all education levels. The response is 16 words below the required minimum, which limits the space available to develop your reasoning. Extend the examples and explain more directly how the balance between facts and practical skills should change.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a coherent overall arrangement: an introduction states your view, two body paragraphs present reasons, and a conclusion restates your position. Sequencing is generally easy to follow, with signposts such as “First of all,” “Secondly,” and “To sum up.” This clear paragraph structure meets the core expectations at this level. To make the progression more effective, connect each claim to its explanation and example more explicitly; for instance, the point about exams could lead into a concrete situation where a student cannot apply classroom knowledge. Some linking is mechanical, and punctuation spacing makes transitions less smooth. Use a wider range of natural links and ensure each paragraph develops one central idea from claim to evidence.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some vocabulary relevant to education, including “theoretical knowledge,” “practical skills,” “examination,” and “internship,” so the main ideas are usually understandable. However, the range is limited and several spelling and word-choice errors make the writing less clear, such as “knwolegde,” “pratical,” “succeded,” and “life learning lessons.” Some phrases are also unnatural, including “move to nect grade” and “proof their knowledge.” These errors are noticeable and occasionally slow the reader, which is consistent with this level. Build accuracy by checking spelling carefully and learning common collocations, such as “progress to the next grade,” “apply their knowledge,” and “gain practical experience.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a contrast in “While I believe theory part is important … practical skills are more important” and a conditional idea beginning “when they move to their further life.” This shows some range, but control is uneven. Errors in articles, agreement, and sentence construction appear in examples such as “examination are required,” “theory part is conducted,” and “students's theory knowledge.” Several sentences also run together because punctuation and spacing are not controlled, particularly in the opening and body paragraphs. These issues sometimes make relationships between ideas harder to follow. Practise accurate sentence boundaries, subject–verb agreement, and article use, then proofread each sentence while retaining your attempts at complex structures.
