Student answer (Band 5.5)

In the present world, education and skills are plays an crucial in development of future. Both have are important in gaining the knowledge and better progress. My opinion will be elaborated in next examples with relevant examples.

On the first hand, Primary schools education are base of the children because in the primary schools how to start learning and writing. After that, in college they grew up the knowledge in practical skills. Both are imporatant factors for developing the practical skills. Moreover, in schools education basic learning are just for education and gain the knowledge aparts from the university.

On the second hand, many industries have select applicant on their practical skills not in education level. Practical skills are more often for many industries because of changing in technology day by day. For example, company like Google, Apple are selecting on skills not on education degree because of the work in multinational company is based on modern technology. Skills are useful for developing future.

I totally agree with that too much time spend on learning facts that learning capability are not determined in company but skills are most important. However, Learning facts are also important for person because without learning you cannot do anything.

To conclude, learning and skills are both important in some perspective like ganing knowledge and making future. So, primary and university education are also be relevant to each other but skills learning are different because skills will not teach by teachers because its own ability to develop and perform in many sectors.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You give a clear overall view in the sentence “I totally agree,” and you include relevant points about employers valuing practical skills and the continuing importance of learning. The examples involving Google and Apple help connect your argument to the workplace. However, the response only partly addresses the comparison across all levels of education: the discussion of primary school and university is brief and does not explain which facts should be taught or how practical learning could be incorporated. Several claims, such as companies selecting applicants for skills rather than degrees, are asserted without enough explanation or a specific supporting example. Develop each main reason with a clearer explanation and show more directly why education currently gives too much emphasis to facts.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion, and signposts such as “On the first hand” and “To conclude” help identify sections. The ideas are generally related to the topic, but progression within paragraphs is not always clear. For instance, the first body paragraph moves from primary-school foundations to college skills and then to university without explaining the links between these points. The second body paragraph repeats the value of skills rather than extending the example. Some linking phrases are also used mechanically or inaccurately. To improve, give each paragraph one central claim, develop it in a logical sequence, and use references and transitions that clearly show how each sentence connects to the previous one.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some topic-relevant vocabulary, including “practical skills,” “industries,” “technology” and “education degree,” so the reader can follow the general subject. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are noticeably inaccurate, sometimes making meaning less clear. Examples include “education and skills are plays an crucial,” “grew up the knowledge,” and “skills learning are different.” There are also spelling errors such as “imporatant” and “ganing.” Aim to learn common academic combinations, such as “develop practical skills” and “gain knowledge,” and check word forms and spelling during revision. More precise vocabulary would help you express the distinction between factual learning and applied abilities.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and longer sentences, including a reason introduced by “because” and a contrast beginning “However.” Nevertheless, the range of structures is limited, and errors occur frequently enough to make some sentences difficult to interpret. For example, “education and skills are plays an crucial” has problems with verb form, agreement and article use, while “many industries have select applicant” has an incorrect verb form and singular/plural agreement. Sentence boundaries and punctuation also need attention, as in “I totally agree with that too much time spend…” Practise building accurate basic sentences first, then add subordinate clauses. Check subject–verb agreement, articles, verb forms and whether each sentence has a complete, clearly expressed main clause.
