Write a letter to the local council. In your letter

• give details of how you and your friends or family use the centre
• explain why the sports and leisure centre is important for the local community
• describe the possible effects on local people if the centre closes

Dear Sir or Madam,

The purpose of my writing is to inform you about how important it is to have sports and leisure center and what affect its closer might have on society.

My family and I use the center several times a week. I usually visit the gym after work, while my wife attends yoga classes every Thursday and Friday. Our children also swimming lessons there on weekends, and many of our friends regularly participate in badminton and fitness sessions.

The center plays vital role in our community. It provide people of all ages with a safe and affordable place to exercise, and maintain a healthy life style. It also hosts local events and training program that encourage young people to stay active positive.

If the center closes, many residents affect to the valuable facilities. Elderly people may have fewer opportunities to stay fit and families with limited incomes might not be able to afford private clubs.

I kindly urge the council to reconsider its decision and explore alternative solutions to keep the center open.
