Write a letter to the local council. In your letter

• give details of how you and your friends or family use the centre
• explain why the sports and leisure centre is important for the local community
• describe the possible effects on local people if the centre closes

Dear Sir or Madam,

I am writing this letter to discuss the issues regarding closing the local community centre. It is an important place for whole neighbourhood to connect and enjoy leisure time.

Firstly, I would like to explain that I use sports amenities along with my friends during free time, such as badminton, tennis and swimming. Not only that, childrens in my family utilise study rooms during exams inside the library. It is convienient and nearby to reach easily, even with public transit, which helps locals to share a place and enjoy their time in town.

However, considering to close the centre would be disastorus for all the community members. It will affect people who use the facility on daily basis, the most. Leaving people stranded for depending on other centres in neighbouring towns. Many older people use it to enjoy personal time with their friends and family in the cafeteria, if we look at them, how happily they cherish their moments over there.
