Dear Sir or Madam,
I hope you are doing well. I am writing this letter about how crucial the sports and leisure Centre for the local people and it should not be closed.
Our local community often visit the sports center daily evening, especially youngsters who are preparing for national sports competition. Me and my friend go to the sports Centre every weekend for practice tennis and sometime thrice in a week, when we get free time from our office schedule. Moreover, our local community, especially older people are spend their time to do extra physical activity to maintain there health. Women meet their neighbor friends in this leisure Centre to do yoga sessions for mind relaxing.
The society has no other place to do such activities and if its closed, it will effects the our community will no longer will able to live freely and joyful.
I hope you consider this request. Looking forward to you positive response.
Thanking you,
Yours Sincerely
Kiran

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
You have addressed all three bullet points of the prompt: describing how you use the centre, explaining its importance, and outlining the consequences of closure. Your position is clear throughout the letter. However, the development of these ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, while you mention that the community uses the centre for yoga and tennis, providing more specific details about the impact on your personal routine or the broader community would have strengthened the response. The tone is appropriate for a formal letter to a council, and the purpose is clearly established from the beginning.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The letter follows a logical structure with a clear introduction, body paragraphs, and a closing. You use some cohesive devices, such as 'Moreover' and 'if its closed', to link your ideas. However, the progression of ideas is occasionally hindered by awkward phrasing and minor errors in referencing. Paragraphing is present, but the transition between the personal use of the centre and the broader community impact could be smoother. The overall arrangement is coherent, but the use of cohesive devices is sometimes mechanical or slightly inaccurate, which prevents a higher score.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
Your vocabulary is adequate for the task, allowing you to convey your message clearly. You use relevant terms like 'physical activity', 'leisure centre', and 'national sports competition'. However, there are some inaccuracies in word choice and collocation, such as 'daily evening' instead of 'every evening' or 'mind relaxing' instead of 'relaxation'. You also struggle with basic word forms, such as 'there health' instead of 'their health'. To reach a higher band, you should focus on using more precise collocations and ensuring correct word forms in your writing.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
You demonstrate a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede the flow of reading. Examples include 'Me and my friend go' (should be 'My friend and I'), 'are spend their time' (should be 'spend their time'), and 'it will effects the our community will no longer will able'. These errors in subject-verb agreement, tense usage, and sentence construction are noticeable. While the meaning is generally understandable, the frequency of these errors suggests that you need to focus on proofreading for basic grammatical accuracy.
