Write a letter to the local council. In your letter

• give details of how you and your friends or family use the centre
• explain why the sports and leisure centre is important for the local community
• describe the possible effects on local people if the centre closes

Dear sir or Madam,

I hope you are doing well. I am writing to express my concern about a closure of sport and leisure center. My family and I usually visit the center every week. It has become a routine for us. I and my younger brother attend yoga and swimming classes there, my friends join me for a volleyball game on the weekend. This center offers very safe and friendly environment to stay active.

This center has a significant positive impact on local people as it keeps them fit, healthy and stress-free. In addition, it provides affordable program for people of all ages. It brings people together and increases social interactions. Without this center many people will struggle to find another location for similar activities.

If it closes it will have a negative implications on the local people. It would be very inconvenient for old people to explore another location nearby, and they will be isolated from physical activities. Young people would losses their interest due to unavailability of affordable facilities.

I kindly request the local council to reconsider their decision and find alternatives solutions to keep the center open.
