Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

You have addressed all three bullet points required by the prompt. You mentioned how you use the centre, explained its importance, and described the consequences of its closure. However, the development of these ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, the explanation of how you use the centre is a bit vague, and the description of the effects of closure relies on general statements rather than specific, well-supported arguments. To reach a higher band, ensure that your ideas are fully extended with more concrete examples or detailed reasoning. Your tone is appropriate for a formal letter, and your position is clear throughout the response.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The letter is logically organized into paragraphs, each focusing on a specific aspect of the prompt. You use some cohesive devices such as 'Furthermore', 'Besides this', and 'Therefore' to link your ideas. However, the flow between sentences is occasionally mechanical, and some transitions feel slightly forced. Additionally, the referencing is sometimes unclear; for example, in the phrase 'this can potentially affects', it is not immediately clear what 'this' refers to. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring that pronouns clearly refer back to their antecedents would enhance the overall coherence of your writing.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'permanently', 'inevitable', and 'wellbeing'. However, there are several instances of inaccurate word choice and collocation errors, such as 'request you regarding' (instead of 'write to you regarding') and 'live socialized life' (instead of 'lead a social life'). There are also some spelling errors, such as 'permenantly' and 'anixety'. While these errors do not prevent the reader from understanding your message, they indicate a need for more precise vocabulary usage and careful proofreading to ensure accuracy in formal writing.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

You attempt a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text. Common issues include subject-verb agreement ('this will proves', 'this can potentially affects') and verb tense inconsistencies ('we will be organizing', 'we will also setting up'). Punctuation is generally functional, but the sentence construction often feels repetitive. To improve, focus on mastering basic subject-verb agreement and ensuring that verb forms are used correctly within complex sentences. While the meaning remains clear, the high frequency of errors limits the score in this criterion.
