Write a letter to the local council. In your letter

• give details of how you and your friends or family use the centre
• explain why the sports and leisure centre is important for the local community
• describe the possible effects on local people if the centre closes

Dear Sir or Madam,

I am writing to express my formal dissatisfaction with the idea of closing the sports and leisure centre located at Laurentian University.

To begin with, my friends and I usually visit the centre to play cricket on the weekends as we have no alternatives in the surroundings. Also, the adults including my parents spend their time by performing yoga at the centre to keep themselves fit.

Furthermore, this centre hosts many awareness campaign for the society such as importance of vaccine during Corona pandemic.

If the centre will be closed then it will effect to the locals as the elders will not find different place to perform yoga and the children will be locked inside the house as they will not have any other place to play the sports.

I hope you will consider my request favorably. Your support in this regard is greatly appreciated.
