Write a letter to the local council. In your letter

• give details of how you and your friends or family use the centre
• explain why the sports and leisure centre is important for the local community
• describe the possible effects on local people if the centre closes

Dear Sir,

I am writing to express my concern regarding the local council centre. I read an article in Times newspaper yesterday, that the local council centre will going to close. My friends and I often come to play cricket at the local sports centre. I have also visited with my family to enjoy indoor game sach as chess and table tennis.

I believe that this centre have been providing sports facilities to local pepple for past 5 years. Many youngsters come to play Cricket everyday. The Centre also offers valuable course to learn volleyball. I recently joined the volleyball club to enroll in their 6 months course. It is also provide opportunity to play at national and internation level championship. Many eldery people attened laughing sessions which give them relief from mental stress.

The closer of the centre would have a detrimental impacts on the local community, particulary on young young people. Without this facility, residents may become more sedentary, as there are no other sports centre near by. Where they can engage in regular physical activities.

I would greatly appriciated if you could consider the needs of local community community and take the necessary steps to ensure that the community centre remains open.
