Dear Sir/Madam,

I am writing this letter to explain the importance of the local center, located near the city bus station.

Me and my family use the local center for various aspects, including shopping, enjoying, spending leisure time together. Which helps us to find everything under a single roof. Additionally, For the group study, me and my friend often visit the city center to study in a public library as it offers us no disturbance while solving mathematical problems.

For the local community, Sports center plays an beneficial role. Firstly, it motivates to young generations to participate in the sports activities, such as, Football, Hockey, Cricket. which enhances their physical and overall well-being. If local government constructs these leisure center to promote physical activities, it would significantly reduce the stress and anxiety level among children.

local public will face difficulties to visit various location to fulfill their needs. Although everyone has his own vehicle, however people prefer to visit such centers because we can utilize time wisely to find something special at one place. Finally, if government closes local center permanently, people will has to visit big cities to find enjoying and leisure time.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

You have addressed all three bullet points in the prompt. You described how you use the centre, explained its importance, and outlined the consequences of its closure. However, the content is slightly confused; you refer to the facility as a 'sports and leisure centre' but also describe it as a place for 'shopping' and a 'public library'. This inconsistency makes the purpose of the centre unclear to the reader. To improve, ensure your ideas are focused and directly relevant to the specific type of facility mentioned in the task. While the ideas are present, they could be developed with more specific detail regarding the community impact.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The letter is organised into clear paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. You use some cohesive devices like 'Additionally', 'Firstly', and 'Finally' to link your ideas. However, some transitions are mechanical or used incorrectly, such as 'Although everyone has his own vehicle, however people prefer...', where the double conjunction is redundant. Additionally, some sentences are fragmented or lack logical flow, such as the transition between the library and the sports centre. Improving the variety and accuracy of your linking words will help the text flow more naturally.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

You have an adequate range of vocabulary to convey your message, but there are several instances of awkward word choice and collocation. For example, 'enjoying' is used as a noun, and 'constructs these leisure center' is imprecise. You also use 'an beneficial role' (should be 'a beneficial role'). While your vocabulary is sufficient to communicate your main points, it lacks the precision and flexibility required for a higher band. Focusing on learning common collocations and ensuring you use words in their correct grammatical form will significantly improve your score.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

There are frequent grammatical errors throughout the letter that occasionally impede clarity. Common issues include subject-verb agreement ('people will has to visit'), article usage ('the sports center' vs 'a sports center'), and sentence structure (e.g., 'Which helps us to find everything...'). You rely mostly on simple sentence structures, and your attempts at complex sentences often contain errors. To reach a higher band, you should focus on mastering basic subject-verb agreement and reducing errors in articles and prepositions. Try to vary your sentence structures while ensuring that each one is grammatically sound.
