As you know that nowadays, due to social media and smartphone the trend of physical activity is reducing day by day. These centres are plays crucial role to encourage youngsters to play diiferent sports in free time. Moreover, families and friends are able to spend their quality time together in the centre which helps to improve their relations with one another. In addition to this, these activities can also have positive impact on their mental and physical health.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The letter addresses all three bullet points of the prompt. You clearly explain how you use the centre, why it is important for the community, and the potential negative effects of its closure. The tone is appropriate for a formal letter to a local council. However, the development of ideas is somewhat basic. To reach a higher band, you should provide more specific details or examples, such as mentioning specific community programs or the long-term health benefits for the elderly, rather than just general statements about teenagers and smartphones. The purpose of the letter is clear from the beginning, and the position is maintained throughout.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The letter is logically organised with a clear introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. You use some cohesive devices such as 'Moreover', 'In addition to this', and 'If the centre closes'. However, the flow between sentences is occasionally mechanical, and some transitions feel slightly repetitive. Paragraphing is used, but the structure within paragraphs could be improved to better link the ideas. For instance, the transition between the importance of the centre and the personal usage could be smoother. Overall, the message is easy to follow, and the progression of ideas is logical.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'community wellbeing', 'physical activity', and 'crucial role'. There are some spelling errors, such as 'diiferent' (repeated twice) and 'youngters'. Additionally, some word choices are slightly awkward, such as 'make us well happy'. While the vocabulary is sufficient to convey your meaning clearly, it lacks the precision and variety required for a higher band. To improve, focus on using more sophisticated collocations and ensuring accurate spelling of common words.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally distract the reader. Examples include 'these centres are plays crucial role' (subject-verb agreement), 'Me and my friends... spend' (pronoun usage), 'we plays' (subject-verb agreement), and 'it can affects' (modal verb usage). While these errors do not prevent the reader from understanding your message, they indicate a lack of control over basic grammatical rules. To improve, pay closer attention to subject-verb agreement and the correct use of modal verbs and pronouns.
