Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.0
The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 150 words, which significantly impacts the development of the required points. While you mention how you use the centre and why it is important, the ideas are underdeveloped and lack specific detail. For example, you mention 'playing and doing various things' but do not elaborate on specific activities. The impact of the closure on the community is mentioned briefly, but the argument lacks depth. To improve, you must expand on each bullet point with specific examples and ensure the letter meets the length requirement to allow for full development of your ideas.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The letter lacks a clear structure. There is no logical paragraphing, and the flow of ideas is disjointed. The use of cohesive devices is very limited, relying on basic connectors like 'because' and 'so'. The lack of clear transitions between the introduction, the body points, and the conclusion makes the letter difficult to follow. To improve, you should organize your response into distinct paragraphs for each bullet point and use a wider range of linking words such as 'furthermore', 'consequently', or 'in addition' to connect your ideas more effectively.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is quite basic and repetitive. There are several spelling errors, such as 'anout' for 'about', 'usally' for 'usually', 'releife' for 'relief', and 'unfortunility' for 'unfortunately'. The phrasing is often unnatural, such as 'my near and dear ones' and 'most of people'. To reach a higher band, you need to use a wider range of vocabulary related to community services and social impact, and pay closer attention to spelling and standard collocations.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
There are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text, including issues with sentence structure, punctuation, and verb forms. For instance, 'I wanted to writing anout letter' should be 'I am writing regarding the letter'. There is a lack of complex sentence structures, and the punctuation is inconsistent, with missing capital letters and incorrect spacing. The errors sometimes make it difficult for the reader to understand your intended meaning. Focus on mastering basic sentence construction and proofreading for subject-verb agreement and punctuation errors.
