I enjoy attending the swimming classes with my siblings every weekend under the professional coach provided by the sports centre. Moreover, gymnastics is a great help for me and my friends to keep our health fit and healthy.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The letter addresses all three bullet points of the prompt. You clearly explain how you use the centre, why it is important to the community, and the negative effects of its closure. However, the response is incomplete as it ends abruptly mid-sentence: 'so that people'. This prevents a full development of the final point and leaves the conclusion unfinished. To reach a higher band, ensure that your ideas are fully expressed and that the letter has a proper closing. The tone is appropriate for a formal letter to a local council, and the purpose is clear from the outset.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The letter is logically organized into paragraphs, with each paragraph focusing on a specific requirement of the task. You use some cohesive devices such as 'Moreover', 'Therefore', and 'Because', which help the flow of ideas. However, the abrupt ending significantly disrupts the coherence of the final paragraph. Additionally, some transitions are slightly mechanical. To improve, ensure that your sentences are linked more naturally and that you always complete your thoughts before moving to the next point. The use of paragraphing is sufficient for this task type.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'monotonous routine', 'peripheral', and 'professional coach'. There are some minor inaccuracies, such as 'keep our health fit and healthy' (which is redundant) and 'make people isolate' (which should be 'isolated'). While you attempt to use less common vocabulary, the word choice is occasionally slightly unnatural. To improve, focus on collocations—for example, instead of 'keep our health fit', use 'maintain our physical fitness'. Overall, the vocabulary is sufficient to convey your meaning clearly.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, such as the conditional 'If this sports center closes, city will lose its charm'. There are several grammatical errors, including missing articles ('the city', 'the sports center') and subject-verb agreement issues ('it attract' instead of 'it attracts'). Punctuation is generally functional, but the incomplete final sentence is a major grammatical failure. To reach a higher band, focus on consistent use of articles and ensuring that complex sentences are constructed without errors. Proofreading for basic subject-verb agreement would also significantly improve your accuracy.
