IELTS Writing Task 1 question
Write a letter to the local council. In your letter
- give details of how you and your friends or family use the centre
- explain why the sports and leisure centre is important for the local community
- describe the possible effects on local people if the centre closes
You do NOT need to write any addresses.
Begin your letter as follows:
Dear Sir or Madam,
Student answer (Band 5.5)
Deat Sir or Madam,
I am writing this letter to tell you that I am living near the council center with my family. And I am using this center for my sports training with my freidns. And also my parents everyday comes here for some exercise.
This sports and leaisure ce ter is very important for the local commumity because it gives the resources to the young childern to do the exercise and also can practice for their sporta. Apart from that, the old people also come here for walk or some exercise. So, this center helps our soceity's people to maintain themselves fit and healthy.
If the center loses, it will be a disaster for us. Because this is the only center that we have nearby. And there is only buildings around us so it will be difficult for the people to walk or do some exercise because of the busy roads. And this is the only spurce that the studnets and childern have for their sports practice.
It is a request if you can help in this to not to remove thus center from this location. We will be waiting for your response. Tha k you so much for your attention.
