Dear Sir or Madam,

I hope this letter finds you well.

I would like to mention this letter is regardin local council , why it is so important to keep the center open. In todays time where people are more in use of digital world the local council is the place where me and my friends get a chance to connect to each other while playing any sports. This sort of establishment also helps us as family to go there as the rise in every sport fees elsewhere not every family could afford to give that level of exposure to their kids. Also during weekends when our family wants to have some liesure time outside of home. Local council is the place family and friends come. sit their and relax while their loved ones are playing some sports or doing any other leisure activities. Also the local council gives community perspective towards each other and probably when in need the coummunity can stand together to protect each other.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5

You give relevant reasons for keeping the centre open, including affordable access to sport for children and a place for friends and families to spend time together. You also explain its wider community value by saying people can connect and support one another. However, the task asks for details of how you and your family use the centre and what could happen if it closes. These points are only partly addressed: the examples of playing sports and relaxing are general, and the effects of closure are implied rather than clearly described. Develop specific consequences, such as reduced access to exercise or fewer opportunities for neighbours to meet, and make your personal examples more precise.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5

The letter has a recognisable purpose, and ideas about sport, family time and community support are broadly related. However, the response is presented as one long paragraph, so the reader has little help distinguishing your personal use of the centre from its community importance and the consequences of closure. Several ideas are joined repeatedly with “Also,” and the sequence does not clearly build towards a final request to the council. Use separate paragraphs for the three task points, link each idea with a more precise transition, and finish with a direct appeal to keep the centre open. This would make the progression easier to follow.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “sports and leisure,” “exposure,” “community” and “afford.” These choices help communicate the centre’s value. However, the range is limited and several expressions are inaccurate or awkward, which sometimes makes the meaning less clear: “in more use of digital world,” “liesure time,” and “gives community perspective towards each other” are examples. Spelling errors such as “regardin” and “coummunity” also reduce accuracy. Aim for natural collocations and precise wording, for example, describe the centre as an affordable place to exercise and socialise, and state clearly how closure would affect residents.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt some longer sentence forms, including a clause beginning “where people…” and a sentence explaining that not every family can afford sports fees. However, control is uneven, and errors in sentence construction and punctuation sometimes make the relationships between ideas difficult to follow. For example, “I would like to mention this letter is…” lacks a clear grammatical structure, while “Local council is the place family and friends come. sit their and relax” contains an incomplete sentence and unclear clause structure. Practise forming complete sentences with clear subjects and verbs, and check articles, agreement and punctuation. Shorter, accurately controlled sentences would make your points easier to understand.
