Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 250 words, as it is only 153 words long. This significantly impacts the development of ideas, as the essay is cut off mid-sentence in the second body paragraph. While you have identified a clear position and provided some relevant examples, such as the mention of advertising, the lack of completion means the task is only partially addressed. To improve, you must ensure you fully develop your arguments with sufficient supporting evidence and reach a conclusion to satisfy the requirements of a full essay.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay uses some basic cohesive devices like 'To begin with' and 'Moreover' to structure the response. However, the progression is interrupted by the incomplete nature of the text. Paragraphing is attempted, but the final paragraph is missing entirely. Referencing is sometimes unclear, such as in the phrase 'people are using this to updated with their surroundings', where the pronoun 'this' lacks a clear antecedent. To improve, focus on completing your thoughts within each paragraph and using a wider range of linking words to connect your ideas more fluidly.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

The vocabulary is adequate for basic communication but lacks the range and precision required for higher bands. There are several awkward collocations and word choice errors, such as 'pictures speaks more than words' (should be 'speak') and 'video footages' (footage is uncountable). Phrases like 'cooking item' and 'lady cooker' are imprecise. To improve, focus on learning natural collocations and using more academic vocabulary to express your ideas, while paying closer attention to word forms and pluralization.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The response contains a mix of simple and some attempted complex structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Examples include 'pictures speaks' (subject-verb agreement), 'online media is preferable platform' (missing article), and 'creator are using' (pluralization). Punctuation is also inconsistent, and there are spelling errors like 'brainn'. To improve, focus on mastering basic subject-verb agreement, article usage, and proofreading your work to catch simple mechanical errors before finalizing your response.
