Student answer (Band 6.0)
reading news play a vital role to build a new habits. Some people ponder that pictures in the news are more attractive for reader rather than numerous words. In my opinion, attracting images in news is more effective for people rather than long paragraphs with words.
One of the main reasons is that image news make easy explanation for people. To put it in simple explanation, when people read or watch news with illustrations, they will understand it by imagining and connecting with their past knowledge. As a result, this allow them to understand news quickly without taking longer. Hence, moving pictures of news are better to explore.
Another compelling reasons is that TV features of news have audio, video, and subtitles which makes them quick understanding. Watching news with those features, people can understand news quickly and remember. It is because of imagination while watching. For instance, if one watched news on TV, they would understand within a few minutes by hearing and experiencing pictures of news about what is going on currently. Therefore, clear video and audio is far better to understand news that is easy for people to have news.
To recapitulate, although reading long paragraphs with complex words in news, I believe that watching news is more convenient for people which feturered them to understand quick rather than complex words. That is why Television news is more easy way to understand news.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses the prompt by expressing a clear opinion that images are more effective than text. However, the essay is under the 250-word minimum, which limits the depth of development. While the main ideas—that images aid understanding and that multimedia features enhance retention—are relevant, they are somewhat repetitive and lack specific, concrete examples from personal experience. The arguments remain at a general level rather than being fully extended. To improve, you should aim to expand your supporting points with more detailed explanations and ensure you meet the word count requirement to allow for a more comprehensive discussion of the topic.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear focus. There is an attempt to use cohesive devices such as 'One of the main reasons', 'As a result', and 'To recapitulate'. However, the use of these devices is sometimes mechanical or slightly unnatural, such as 'Another compelling reasons is that' (which also contains a grammatical error). The progression of ideas is generally clear, but the transition between sentences could be smoother. The paragraphing is appropriate, but the overall flow is occasionally hindered by repetitive phrasing and minor errors in logical linking.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is adequate for the task but lacks variety and precision. You rely on basic terms like 'good', 'easy', and 'understand'. There are some inaccuracies in word choice, such as 'image news' instead of 'visual news' or 'news with images', and 'feturered them' which is an incorrect usage. While the meaning is generally clear, the range of vocabulary is limited, and there is little evidence of less common lexical items or sophisticated collocations. To reach a higher band, focus on using more precise synonyms and varied academic vocabulary to express your ideas more effectively.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay contains a mix of simple and some complex sentence structures. However, there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede the flow, such as 'reading news play a vital role' (subject-verb agreement), 'Some people ponder that' (incorrect verb choice), and 'Another compelling reasons is' (plural/singular mismatch). Punctuation is generally functional, but there are issues with sentence construction, such as 'Therefore, clear video and audio is far better to understand news that is easy for people to have news.' These errors are noticeable, though they do not completely prevent the reader from understanding your main points.
