Student answer (Band 7.0)
In this contemporary era, there has been significant change noticed in cinema and printing industry as the advancement in each sectors owing to influence of technology. However, It is being believed that presentation of information on televisions and newspapers are more picturised than the story of written scripts. According to my opinion, I completely agree with this positive trend. The reasons will be elucidated in further paragraphs alongside examples.
To commence, companies profit more as their advertisements have been getting more views than the past since they started to replace the articles with photos. The main reason is that people do not have that much spare time to read newspaper for an hour carefully like in the past. Whereas, colorful pictures can attract them as well as assist them to get the details in just one view which saves their time. For instance, fresh deals in supermarkets just display animated advertisement getting thousands of views rather then circulating copies of detailed articles.
Apart from this, human brains are trained to prefer pictures over words as they found long scripts boring to walk through especially when they have alternate option to get knowledge from seeing one picture. Another factor is TV industry are not allocated much time to cover their content during live sports or social events. For example, during FIFA world cups match, they just have friction of time to display their content hence the pictures are fostered by them over words as it is impossible to read the content by spectators in few seconds.
In conclusion, after analysing certain aspects one would be relied on modern picture content than words as it saves time, attracts more, and covers more content in short period of time which indicates win win situation to both consumers and companies.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 7.0
The response addresses all parts of the prompt and maintains a clear position throughout. The ideas are relevant, such as the time-saving nature of images and the psychological preference for visual stimuli. However, the development of these ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, the example regarding the FIFA World Cup is a bit confusingly phrased, and the argument could be strengthened by exploring the limitations of images compared to the depth of written text. Overall, the response is well-focused, but it would benefit from more nuanced analysis to reach a higher band.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 7.0
The essay is logically organized with a clear introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'To commence', 'Apart from this', and 'In conclusion', which help guide the reader. However, some transitions are slightly mechanical or awkward, such as 'The reasons will be elucidated in further paragraphs'. Additionally, there are minor issues with referencing and flow, such as the slightly disjointed connection between the idea of human brain training and the TV industry example. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate distinct ideas.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.5
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing the writer to express their ideas clearly. There are some attempts at less common vocabulary, such as 'elucidated', 'contemporary era', and 'fostered'. However, there are several instances of imprecise word choice or awkward collocations, such as 'more picturised', 'friction of time' (likely meaning 'fraction'), and 'walk through' (when referring to reading). While these errors do not impede communication, they indicate a need for more precise control over word choice and idiomatic usage.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.5
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. There are several grammatical errors throughout the text, such as 'advancement in each sectors' (pluralization error), 'It is being believed' (awkward passive construction), and 'TV industry are not allocated' (subject-verb agreement). Punctuation is generally functional, though there are occasional slips. While the errors are noticeable, they rarely impede the reader's understanding of the main points. To improve, the writer should focus on subject-verb agreement and more natural sentence construction.
