Student answer (Band 6.5)
In this technological era, it becomes more convenient to provide information in all over the world. Televisions and newspapers are common sources of information. Bunch of people opine that public get more influenced with photos rather than text. I agree with this statement that photographs are more influential.
Firstly, according to individuals pictures are useful to convince people easily about the reality of news as they work as evidence for community. To explain it, some new channels spread false political as well domestic information which leads to misrepresentation and misconception in society. Moreover, Pictures break language barriers as sometimes people can understand the situation with the visuals. For example, recently a popular artist was declared dead by media without any evidence which was not even true.
In my perspective, when there is bulk of misleading information available it becomes requirement to attach photos as proof. To explicate it, increase in misrepresentation make people to live people in disbelief as per repercussions people become aware about fake information. I believe that long text seems boring while picture gain public attention more quickly. Furthermore, pictures create imagination power in students which helps them to remember story books consequently, enhance the mental ability of children. For example, a survey resulted that a story books with pictures are sold more than the text ones.
In conclusion, it seems to me that in this hectic lifestyle nobody wants reads long notes meanwhile a text with picture get attention more easily and people want to know furthernafter visualizing the portraits.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The response addresses the prompt and maintains a clear position throughout. You successfully argue that pictures are more influential than text, supporting this with reasons such as evidence, overcoming language barriers, and engagement. However, some ideas are under-developed. For instance, the example regarding the artist declared dead is not clearly linked to the argument about pictures being more effective than words. Additionally, the point about children's imagination is a bit tangential to the main topic of news media. To improve, ensure every supporting point directly reinforces your central argument about the effectiveness of visual media in news.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, and there is a clear progression of ideas. You use some cohesive devices such as 'Firstly', 'Moreover', and 'In conclusion' to link your points. However, the use of these devices is sometimes mechanical or slightly awkward, such as 'In my perspective' or 'consequently, enhance'. Furthermore, some sentences lack smooth transitions, making the flow feel a bit disjointed at times. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring that referencing (e.g., 'this', 'these') is precise will help elevate your score in this criterion.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.5
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using words like 'misconception', 'misrepresentation', and 'hectic'. However, there are several instances of awkward word choices and collocations, such as 'bunch of people' (too informal), 'imagination power', and 'furthernafter'. Additionally, there are minor errors in word formation, such as 'reads' instead of 'read'. To reach a higher band, focus on using more precise academic vocabulary and ensuring that your word choices sound natural in a formal context.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While you attempt complex sentences, there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text, such as 'it becomes more convenient to provide information in all over the world' (preposition error) and 'a story books' (article/plurality error). Subject-verb agreement and article usage are inconsistent. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they occur frequently enough to impact the overall fluency of the writing. Focusing on proofreading for basic grammatical accuracy will significantly improve your score.
