Many times News articles and stories on television and in newspaper are represented with pictures. Number of individuals state that pictures are more expressive than words. If questioned. I completely agree with this statment. My inclination is justified in ensuing paragraphs with valid reasons and appropriate examples.
The primary reason for News stories demonstrate by pictures is that pictures contain thousand of words. It gives overview of whole news and articles. Words express a reasons, places, effects etc; however, it can not provide visualisation of that occurrence. Through images News are became more effective and better understable. Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses the prompt by clearly stating a position in favor of pictures being more effective than words. The ideas are relevant, focusing on the ability of images to provide visualization, capture attention, and evoke emotional responses. However, the development of these ideas is somewhat repetitive and lacks depth. For instance, the argument about natural disasters is a good example, but the explanation remains at a surface level. To reach a higher band, you should aim to explore the 'why' behind these points more thoroughly, perhaps by discussing the psychological impact of visual media versus the limitations of text in a more nuanced way.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear focus. There is an attempt to use cohesive devices such as 'The primary reason', 'Another reason', and 'To conclude'. However, the use of these devices is sometimes mechanical or slightly awkward, such as the sentence fragment 'So pictures are playing vital role in news stories.' Additionally, some transitions between sentences are abrupt. Improving the flow between ideas by using a wider variety of linking words and ensuring that each sentence connects smoothly to the next would significantly enhance the coherence of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using words like 'visualization', 'empathy', and 'authentic'. However, there are several instances of word-choice errors and awkward collocations, such as 'News stories demonstrate by pictures' (should be 'are demonstrated by') and 'better understable' (should be 'more understandable'). There are also spelling errors like 'statment', 'floode', and 'Victimes'. While these errors do not prevent the reader from understanding your message, they limit the precision and sophistication of your writing. Expanding your vocabulary to include more precise academic collocations would be beneficial.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there is a high frequency of grammatical errors. Common issues include subject-verb agreement ('News stories... is represented'), incorrect verb forms ('News are became'), and missing articles. Punctuation is also inconsistent, with some sentences starting with lowercase letters after a period or containing unnecessary breaks. While you attempt complex structures, the frequent errors in basic grammar and sentence construction mean that the control is not consistent. Focusing on proofreading for basic subject-verb agreement and verb tense consistency will help improve your score.
