Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses the prompt by expressing a clear opinion and providing supporting reasons. The ideas regarding accessibility for those with language barriers and the emotional impact of imagery are relevant. However, the development is somewhat limited; the points are introduced but not fully explored with depth. For instance, the example regarding 'parliment sessions' is vague and lacks specific detail to strengthen the argument. To reach a higher band, you should aim to expand on your examples and provide a more nuanced discussion of why pictures might be considered 'more effective' than words in various contexts, such as the speed of information processing or the universality of visual communication.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, and there is a clear progression of ideas. You use some cohesive devices, such as 'Furthermore' and 'To conclude', to link your points. However, the use of cohesive devices is sometimes mechanical or slightly awkward, such as the transition 'If the person who never wanted to read it, the picture motivate someone to dig it.' Additionally, some sentences lack smooth flow due to grammatical issues. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring that referencing (e.g., 'they', 'this way') is always clear will help improve the overall coherence of your writing.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary used is generally adequate for the task, allowing you to convey your meaning clearly. You use some topic-specific terms like 'current affairs' and 'language barrier'. However, the range is somewhat limited, and there are instances of imprecise word choice, such as 'dig it' (which is informal) and 'scenerio' (spelling error). There are also minor errors in collocation, such as 'gain a knowledge'. To improve, focus on using more precise academic vocabulary and ensuring correct word forms. Expanding your range to include more sophisticated synonyms for common words will also help elevate your score.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay contains a mix of simple and some complex sentence structures. However, there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text, including subject-verb agreement issues (e.g., 'the picture motivate'), article misuse (e.g., 'the parliment'), and punctuation errors. Some sentences are structurally incomplete or awkward, such as 'When information about newly opened space with some pictures & description , They will decide...'. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they are frequent enough to affect the overall fluency of the response. Focusing on basic sentence construction and proofreading for subject-verb agreement will significantly improve your accuracy.
