Student answer (Band 6.0)
The importance of pictures in real world has become integral part of our day to life, which was always debatable has now become more controversial with many people claiming that it is beneficial while others reject this notion. In my opinion former and positive side is more rational. This eassy will further elaborate my views and favouring positive side with reasons behind, will lead to a logical conclusion.
Analyzing the statement and explaining further, the first and the foremost benefit is pictures are more attractive and it attracts more viewers which indirectly helps the author and issuer to gain more viewership Moreover, adding photos in every context helps viewers to learn easily and easy to recal whenever required. Second benefit in this regards is that it holds emotional contact with viewer, for instance pictures of disasters, wars and accidents creates not only emotional setup with audience but also makes sympathy towards the survivals. and and pic things are more likely to create memories than the text or paragraphs. Lastly, Using picture in news and on Tv can be greate way to transfer message without and language barriers. In other words picturres can communicate message across the world without any word and language problems.
Probing ahead, one of the main underlying reason stems from the fact is that, explains the whole context of story what has happened and what may happen next with proper context, but sometimes words are more or equally important to pictures, because pictures and their messages are based on interpetation, and it can be different from person to person.Secondly pictures can only states the data and numbers and their explaination can be only done by words and text. Moving further,no doubt pictures are more easy ways to tell message as words, but to avoid misunderstanding words and explaination with text can play important role in this context.
In conclusion to the argument mentioned above , one can reach to a gist that the benefits of pictures above text are indeed too great. but in my opinion, both thing should used together to make meaningful and accurate result and reporting on Tv.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses the prompt by discussing the effectiveness of pictures compared to words. You maintain a clear position, arguing that while pictures are powerful, a combination of both is ideal. However, the development of ideas is somewhat uneven. For instance, the point about 'emotional contact' is well-supported with examples like disasters and wars, but other points, such as 'viewership' and 'language barriers', are mentioned briefly without sufficient elaboration. To reach a higher band, ensure that every main idea is supported by a clear, specific example or a logical explanation that connects back to the prompt's core question.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, and there is a clear progression of ideas. You use some cohesive devices, such as 'first and the foremost', 'moreover', and 'in conclusion', to link your points. However, the use of these devices is sometimes mechanical or repetitive. Additionally, there are instances where the flow is disrupted by awkward phrasing or punctuation errors, such as the repetitive 'and and' in the second paragraph. Improving the variety of your linking words and ensuring smoother transitions between sentences would enhance the overall coherence of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'integral', 'controversial', 'interpretation', and 'underlying'. However, there are several instances of word-choice errors and awkward collocations, such as 'emotional setup' instead of 'emotional connection', 'survivals' instead of 'survivors', and 'grete way to transfer message'. Additionally, there are frequent spelling errors (e.g., 'eassy', 'recal', 'picturres', 'interpetation'). To improve, focus on learning the correct collocations for common phrases and proofreading your work to catch basic spelling mistakes.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While you attempt complex sentences, they are often marred by grammatical inaccuracies, such as 'which was always debatable has now become more controversial' (missing subject) and 'both thing should used together' (missing auxiliary verb). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with comma usage and run-on sentences. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they occur frequently enough to affect the clarity of your arguments. Focusing on subject-verb agreement and consistent tense usage will help improve your accuracy.
