Student answer (Band 5.0)
Things looked more attractive with pictures . The pictures that look more attractive can catch more attention. If we catch the attention we focus to makes pictures more attractive. social media is one of the example of it. we just click on these pic that admire to us. Online shopping is one of the stunning example of it. we just click on these websites which pictures look more attractive. Newspaper is one of the example of it. As you noticed that if newspaper have only headlines. we can't show more attention on writing. however if the news appears with pictures its makes us more fascinating. A significant potion of people judge the news by its picture. The people who are illiterate and not able to read the things that just makes their opinion by the pictures . Also sometimes people takes bad perspective from the pictures. because people actually have not idea whats are happening in real.
In my perspective picture are good with news but we can't judge anything just from pictures. news stories on TV and in newspapers are very often accompanied by pictures. however sometimes tv establish more bold pictures which is not good for illiterate people. because people take wrong perspective by picture.
Everything have porns and corns its totally depend on people perspective whats they take also through pictures things makes more convenient to understand. Also they developed the interest of people. Things catch more attention by pictures. perhaps things look more admire us by attractive pictures.
Through my experience I always click on these things that more fantastic to myself while at the time of online shopping i just click the things which pic is more attractive. sometimes i bear loss because of this .because things are same at the time od delivery which i saw on pictures.
I conclude that we can never judge the book by it cover we review all the things and then makes our opinions.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response addresses the prompt by discussing the role of pictures in news and media. However, the development of ideas is limited and somewhat repetitive. While you provide examples like online shopping and newspapers, the analysis of why pictures might be 'more effective' than words is not fully explored. The position is generally clear, but the argument lacks depth and structure. To improve, ensure each paragraph focuses on a distinct aspect of the argument—such as the emotional impact of images versus the informative nature of text—and provide more detailed explanations for your claims.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay is divided into paragraphs, but the logical progression is weak. Many sentences feel disconnected, and the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate (e.g., 'Also sometimes people takes bad perspective'). The transition between ideas is frequently abrupt, making it difficult for the reader to follow the flow of your argument. To improve, use a wider variety of linking words (e.g., 'furthermore', 'consequently', 'in contrast') and ensure that each sentence logically follows the previous one to create a more cohesive text.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is quite basic and repetitive, with frequent word-choice errors that occasionally hinder clarity, such as 'potion' instead of 'portion' and 'porns and corns' instead of 'pros and cons'. You rely heavily on simple adjectives like 'attractive' and 'good'. To reach a higher band, you should aim to use more precise vocabulary related to the topic, such as 'visual impact', 'misleading', 'informative', or 'subjective interpretation'. Expanding your range of collocations will help you express your ideas with greater sophistication.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
There are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text, including subject-verb agreement issues (e.g., 'people takes', 'things makes') and incorrect sentence structures. The punctuation is also inconsistent, with many sentences ending abruptly or containing run-on thoughts. While the meaning is generally understandable, the high frequency of errors impacts the overall quality of the writing. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, ensuring that subjects and verbs agree, and practicing the correct use of articles and prepositions.
