Student answer (Band 5.5)
IN THIS MODERNISATION ERA , NEWS CHANNESL ARE USING THE PHOTOS TO DEPICTS THE STORIES THAT ARE HAPPENING IN THE SURROUNDINGS ,SO, SOME PEOPLE AGREE THAT THIS IS THE BEST METHODS WHILE OTHERS DO NOT AGREE. I WOULD LIKE TO REPRESENTS MY THOUGHTS IN THE UPCOMING PARAGRAHS ON WHY GIVING BRIEF STORIES IN THE IS BETTER THAN THE PICTURES.
FIRST OF ALL PEOPLE WHO STAND WITH THE IDES OF SHOWING PICTURES RATHER THAN EXPLAING BY SPEAKING THINKS PHOTOS EXPLAINS EVERTHING AS VISUALS ARE MODIFIED BY USING THE NEW AI TOOLS .IF ANYONE TAKE A LOOK CAN EASILY UNDERSTAND WHAT IS THE STORY BEHIND THE NEWS STORIES. FOR EXAMPLE, THSES DAYS SILENT CARTOONS IN THE CARTOONS NETWORKS CAN EASILY SEEN BY CHILDERNS AND ADULTS WITHOUT ANY SOUND NOISE AS WELL AS WORD EXPLANATION. AS FOR A GOOD ILLUSTRATION OF IT MR BEAN IS A PERFECT CARTOON.
ON THE OTHERS HAND SOME PEOPLE ARE BUSY IN THEIR DAILY LIFE SCHEDULE SO THEY PREFER TO have the best briefing with sound and photos. in this way ,they can be aware about news more early. as everyone has a time deadline for work if folks see well explaining news with fully detailed words that will become more effective and rapidly they can share with their peers and peers can share ahead rather than sharing a picture. definitely not everyone has the ability to think fast by just looking a picture and people has DIFFERENT PERCEPTION . SOME CAN THINK OTHER STORIES WHILE OTHER CAN OOPSES THEIR VIEW IT CAN ALSO RAISES CONFLICT SO TO AVOID THSES CONFLICTS SHARING WORDS STORIES WILL BE A BEETER IDEA AND NEWS PEOPLE CAN USE THE PICTURS AS WELL.
ALL I WOULD LOVE TO SUGGETS THAT EXPLAING STORIES ON TV and in newspapers are very often accompanied by pictures CAN RAISES SERIOUS ISSUES AS SOCEITY HAS DIFFERENT TYPES OF THINKERS AVAILABLE. WHICH CAN CREATES DIFFERENT OPINION WHICH NEEDS TO BE CLEAR.THAT IS WHY USING EFFECTIVE AND APPROPRIATE WORDS CAN BE MORE BENEFICIAL.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses the prompt by discussing both the effectiveness of pictures and the necessity of words. However, the position is somewhat inconsistent; the introduction suggests a preference for words, but the body paragraphs provide a balanced view without a strong, sustained argument. Some ideas, such as the example of 'Mr. Bean', are not fully relevant to the context of news reporting. While the task is addressed, the development of ideas is limited, and the conclusion does not clearly restate a final position, which prevents a higher score.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organised into paragraphs, but the logical progression is often hindered by awkward phrasing and repetitive transitions. Cohesive devices are used, but they are often mechanical or misused (e.g., 'ON THE OTHERS HAND', 'AS FOR A GOOD ILLUSTRATION OF IT'). The referencing is sometimes unclear, making it difficult for the reader to follow the flow of the argument. Paragraphing is present, but the internal structure of the paragraphs lacks the necessary cohesion to link ideas smoothly.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is limited and often repetitive. There are frequent errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'news channesl', 'sound noise', and 'oopses their view'. The use of informal language and the reliance on basic vocabulary restrict the ability to convey complex ideas precisely. While the meaning is generally understandable, the lack of variety and the presence of spelling errors (e.g., 'childerns', 'suggets', 'soceity') indicate a need for a broader range of lexical items.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains a high frequency of grammatical errors, including subject-verb agreement issues ('people has', 'it can also raises'), incorrect verb forms, and punctuation errors. The sentence structures are mostly simple or contain errors when attempting complexity. The use of all-caps throughout the text is also a significant issue that affects the presentation. While the errors do not completely prevent communication, they are pervasive and require the reader to work harder to interpret the intended meaning.
