Student answer (Band 6.0)
Pictures play a significant role in this era. Newspapers and tv stories are using several image presentations since a long time to be displayed affectively. A large number of individuals believe that pictures can speak louder than words. I strongly agree with this viewpoints due to many distinct reasons.
On the one hand, the most prominent point is that sometimes displaying a story with images or videos can actually help people to relate to it which can make an emotional impact on people's hearts. To elaborate on it, sometime people are unable to relate with something that they are listening only, not only watching along with listening helps them to relate to it with either their present or the past but also the emotional impact of it will last with them for a long period of time.
Secondly, because of countless sources being available in this modern era, people prefer to watch something along with listening to it. To explain it, the gadgets such as radios almost disappeared now as well as the newspapers are being printed with colourful pictures instead of black and white. This is happening because there are many sources available to present things is new ways and the new generation prefers to see what a story is saying.
On the other hand, the more of the resources will be use to show an article the more of the humans will be attracted towards it because organized presentation is the key of the success for a story or an article.
In conclusion, I undoubtedly hold the view that images play a vital role for the publication of any writer's wonderful talent.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses the prompt by expressing a clear opinion and providing reasons. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, the argument regarding 'emotional impact' is repetitive, and the point about 'gadgets' is slightly tangential to the core question of why pictures are more effective than words. While the position is consistent, the supporting arguments lack depth and specific examples from personal experience, which would have strengthened the response. To reach a higher band, ensure that each paragraph provides a distinct, well-explained point that directly supports the thesis statement.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, and there is a clear introduction and conclusion. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'On the one hand,' 'Secondly,' and 'In conclusion,' which help guide the reader. However, some transitions are mechanical or slightly awkward, such as 'To elaborate on it, sometime people are unable to relate with something that they are listening only.' Additionally, the flow between sentences within paragraphs is occasionally disrupted by grammatical errors, which makes the progression of ideas feel less smooth. Improving the variety and naturalness of linking words would enhance the overall coherence.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing the writer to convey their meaning clearly. There are some attempts at less common vocabulary, such as 'prominent point' and 'vital role.' However, there are instances of imprecise word choice and collocation errors, such as 'image presentations' instead of 'visual aids' or 'images,' and 'present things is new ways' (a grammatical error affecting lexical clarity). The range is sufficient to communicate, but it lacks the precision and sophistication required for higher bands. Focusing on collocations and more academic phrasing would be beneficial.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. However, there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede the flow of reading. Examples include 'Newspapers and tv stories are using several image presentations since a long time' (incorrect tense), 'sometime people are unable to relate with something that they are listening only' (awkward phrasing and missing preposition), and 'the more of the resources will be use' (incorrect verb form). While the meaning is generally clear, the frequency of these errors prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. More attention to verb tenses and sentence construction is needed.
