Student answer (Band 5.0)
Nowadays, journalist use pictures rather than written notes to share news in TV and newspapers. While, an ample number of person deem that it will be more effective as compared to the words. These situation has both negative as well as positive aspect so, i will discuss both the topics in the upcoming paragraphs.
On the one hand, pictures and videos are good for every person to understands such as, children who are not aware about reading and old people who were illitreate. Moreover, it will give more realistics details about particular things as well. For instance, people are some time not getting by wordings but if they show any particular picture regarding to that information they get easily idea about that.
On the other hand, some time pictures creates misunderstandings as well. Furthermore, wordings gives them information but pictures influence them to do that thing which is not benificial for anyone. Additonally, some advertisment and report which contains only pictures rather than wordings it will manipulate people's mind as well. For example, people see particular advertisement which shows only pictures not wordings they are not aware about it's causes and some advertisement do not show full information on pictures because they want to sell their products in any chance.
In my opinion, it has disadvantages outwiegh the advantages therefore, wordings is a better option to represents the news stories on Tv and newspapers so people easily get information about anything by that,
In conclusion, many person who like pictorial information but written news and reports are more helpful for them to understands any details regarding to that.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
The student addresses all parts of the task by discussing both the positive and negative aspects of pictures accompanying news stories, and clearly states an opinion in the conclusion that disadvantages outweigh advantages. The position is maintained throughout the response. However, the ideas are somewhat limited and repetitive, particularly in the body paragraphs where points about children, the elderly, and advertising are stated simply without deep extension or varied support. This places the response comfortably at Band 5.0, as it addresses the task and presents a clear position, but ideas remain under-developed.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response is organised into paragraphs, including an introduction, two body paragraphs, an opinion statement, and a conclusion. However, the overall progression is somewhat hampered by repetitive structures and mechanical linking phrases, such as 'On the one hand', 'On the other hand', and 'In my opinion' followed immediately by 'In conclusion'. Referencing is occasionally unclear, such as the pronoun use in 'it will be more effective' and 'these situation'. Paragraphing is attempted, but the separation of the final opinion and conclusion into two distinct short blocks disrupts the flow. Cohesion is adequate for a Band 5.0 level, but devices are often repetitive or inaccurate.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The vocabulary used is basic and repetitive, with frequent lexical and word-choice errors that occasionally strain comprehension. Examples include 'journalist' instead of 'journalists', 'person' instead of 'people', 'illitreate' instead of 'illiterate', 'realistics' instead of 'realistic', and 'wordings' instead of 'words' or 'text'. The student attempts less common vocabulary such as 'manipulate', 'disadvantages', and 'outweigh', but inaccuracies in collocation and form are noticeable. This fits the Band 5.0 descriptor of a limited range with noticeable errors that cause some difficulty for the reader.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The response exhibits a very limited range of grammatical structures, relying heavily on simple sentences and basic complex forms that are frequently faulty. There are persistent errors in subject-verb agreement and tense consistency, such as 'journalist use', 'These situation has', 'people are some time not getting', and 'some advertisement ... it will manipulate'. Punctuation is also problematic, notably comma splices and run-on structures. Because attempts at complex sentences frequently result in errors that cause difficulty for the reader, the performance aligns with the Band 5 descriptors.
