Publishing new articles with pictures on regulary basis on TV and print media has become increasingly common in recent years. Some Individuals argued that the photos are more beneficial rather then written letters. This essay will deeply disuss the about the effectiveness then state my perspective before drawing a reasoned conclusion.
To begin with, a considerable proportion of individuals argued that it is effective to publish an article with pictures due to the fact that people from a large number of disadvantaged background will see those articles. Although most of them are not educated, some are disabled too. The more people look at the pictures, the more they will be aware about the burning topics of the society. For Instance, Illetrate people can not read the acticle however they can see the picture and get themselves aware about the situation. Furthermore, I believe people are more curious to learn about a new topic but after a while they got bored by reading the article. By keeping pictures in between the article, they not only can make them wait for a while but it also keep the interest alive till the end. For example, Now a days several adds are running on televison but those adds has gained more popularity in which some pictures were used. Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
The response addresses the prompt partially, exploring the idea that pictures help uneducated individuals and maintain audience interest. However, the position is not always clearly sustained throughout, and the ideas presented are somewhat limited and under-developed. For instance, the discussion regarding illiterate people understanding the news through pictures is introduced but lacks extension or concrete real-world context beyond a basic statement. Similarly, the conclusion trails off abruptly ("it will motivate them to be a"), which leaves the final thought incomplete. To move to a higher band, the writer needs to fully develop each body paragraph with robust explanations and clear examples, ensuring the argument is maintained consistently from the introduction through to a fully articulated conclusion.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The essay displays some organization, attempting to structure the response with an introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. However, there is a lack of clear overall progression, and the logical flow between sentences can be mechanical or repetitive. Cohesive devices such as "To begin with" and "Furthermore" are utilized to signal transitions, but referencing and substitution are occasionally unclear, such as the pronoun shifts referring to pictures and articles. Paragraphing is present, yet the internal coherence within paragraphs requires strengthening to ensure smooth transitions of thought. To achieve a higher score, the writer must work on creating a clearer logical progression of ideas and use a wider, more natural range of cohesive devices without over-relying on formulaic connectors.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The lexical resource used is limited in range, though minimally adequate for the task. The student attempts some less common vocabulary, such as "disadvantaged background" and "paramount importance," but these are accompanied by noticeable errors in word choice, collocation, and word formation. Examples of inaccuracies include "on regulary basis" instead of 'on a regular basis', "written letters" instead of 'text', and "Illetrate" which contains a spelling error. Additionally, phrases like "get aware themselves" demonstrate awkward phrasing that causes some difficulty for the reader. To improve in this area, the writer should focus on expanding their vocabulary range and paying closer attention to standard collocations, word forms, and accurate spelling.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The writing exhibits a limited range of grammatical structures, relying mostly on simple sentences alongside attempts at complex forms that are frequently faulty. There are persistent errors in subject-verb agreement, tense consistency, and articles throughout the text. Examples include "Some Individuals argued" instead of 'argue', "people from a large number of disadvantaged background" where the noun should be plural, and "adds are of paramount importance untill they will not hamper" which contains structural and tense inaccuracies. Punctuation and capitalization errors also occur, such as mid-sentence capitalization in "For Instance" and "For example". To reach the next band, the writer needs to increase sentence variety while maintaining better control over basic grammar, reducing the frequency of errors that impede the reader's understanding.
