In this workaholic era, newspaper have big hands in every persons life. no doubt, pictures attract attention but, words provide detailed information of news.some people believe that images are intresting than news. I personally believe that it sometimes pictures are more effective, but it depend on some situations because sometimes words have oppose meaning instead photos.

To commence with, pictures play crucial role to give detailed information, to brief images from news and telivision has vital role which provide quick information on any news however, sometimes they create missinformation among people because words have different meaning from them resultly, it will create conflicts among common and uneducated people . for instance, people can only see the picture of war victims and then they can blame anyone that may feel worried or sympathetic . secondly , easy to understand, pictures can help people easy to understand the newsand they can easily understand the emotions of people. for example, people can see the pictures related to flood so they can understand their pain and attach with them emotionaly hence, people can help them while knowing the ground reality of those people.

furthure more, detailed information is crucial for knowing the reality of picture because sometimes pictures are not showing complete information on any news as well as complete addresss which is only in words. pictures just show any reality but not giving proper information on anything like while watching pictures of flood people can understand their situation but not understand their pain.

to conclude, pictures are important but not showing the reality of anything so words and pictures have their on meaning and importance.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You give a relevant, qualified opinion: pictures can be more effective in some situations, while words are needed for fuller information. The examples about war victims and flooding help illustrate emotional impact and understanding. However, the position is not consistently clear: the opening says pictures are sometimes more effective, but the conclusion mainly says both have importance without directly answering which is generally more effective. Several points are also under-developed or unclear, such as the claim that words can have an “oppose meaning” to photos and the idea that pictures do not show people’s pain. To strengthen the response, state your overall judgement clearly and explain more precisely when images or written reporting are more effective, using each example to support that comparison.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The response has a basic paragraph structure, moving from an introduction to supporting points and a conclusion. Connectors such as “To commence with,” “secondly,” and “to conclude” signal stages in the discussion. However, progression within paragraphs is often difficult to follow because several ideas are joined together without clear relationships. For example, the first body paragraph shifts from detailed information to misinformation, then to war victims and flood victims. Some linking phrases are repetitive or do not accurately show the relationship between ideas, and references such as “them” and “their situation” can be unclear. Organise each body paragraph around one main comparison, then use shorter sentences and explicit links to show how each example supports that point.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You attempt vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “crucial role,” “detailed information,” “misinformation,” and “ground reality,” and you communicate ideas about emotional impact and news coverage. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate, which sometimes makes the meaning difficult to interpret. Examples include “newspaper have big hands,” “brief images from news,” and “pictures are interesting than news.” Spelling errors such as “intresting,” “telivision,” and “furthure” also reduce accuracy. Aim for natural topic-specific phrases and check spelling and word forms carefully. For instance, describe newspapers as “play an important role,” and say that images “attract attention” or “convey emotion,” rather than relying on unclear expressions.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and longer sentences, including clauses introduced by “because,” “however,” and “while.” This shows an effort to express reasons and contrasts, but complex sentences are often faulty, and errors occur frequently enough to make some points hard to follow. Examples include “newspaper have,” “it depend,” and “pictures play crucial role,” where agreement or article use is missing. The sentence beginning “I personally believe that it sometimes pictures are more effective” has an unclear structure, while several long sentences lack effective punctuation and contain multiple clauses. Practise building accurate simple sentences first, then combine them with one subordinate clause at a time. Check subject–verb agreement, articles, and sentence boundaries during revision.
