Student answer (Band 5.5)
In thesedays, it is seen that the recently made stories in newspaper and on TV screens include more visuals than words. Some individuals opine that these visualization is efficient than words. I personally, believe that it is good choice to have more visuals. This essay will discuss this upcoming paragraphs with sufficient examples.
On the one hand, It has numerous benefits to have more pictures in content. First and foremost, It saves a lot of time because words needs time to read the whole statement. While having depicted picture, it takes seconds to get the idea as sometimes pictures give information that words cannot. For example, the perfect layout map of specific building leaves less confusion to understand the whole structure of that building. Apart from this, having more images of content in TV shows erase the language barrier. For instance, a person not familiar with turkish language like stories of Turkish dramas are able to watch and understand the concept while using their own imagination with the access of pictures.
On the other hand, words has their own importances in stores and TV shows, It helps to learn the wide range of vocabulary and allows a person to improve their knowledge in grammar, idioms of any language.
To conclude, it is quite apparent from the above-mentioned information that although having words and pictures has their own pros which reflects their own importance but representing more images make easy for everyone to understand the proper concept of story.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
Your opinion is clear: you support using more pictures, and you give relevant reasons about saving time and helping viewers understand content across language barriers. The building-map and Turkish-drama examples make these points more concrete. However, the discussion of the opposing view is only one sentence, and the claim that words help people learn vocabulary and grammar is not explained or connected closely to news stories. This leaves some parts of the argument less developed, while the conclusion mainly repeats your position. The response is also two words below the required minimum. Develop the counterargument and explain why, despite it, pictures are more effective in particular situations.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, a paragraph supporting pictures, a brief contrasting point, and a conclusion. Linking phrases such as “On the one hand,” “Apart from this,” and “To conclude” help signal the direction of the discussion. However, the contrast paragraph is very short, so the progression between the two sides feels uneven. Some connections are also mechanical or unclear; for example, “This essay will discuss this upcoming paragraphs” does not clearly introduce the argument, and the final sentence combines several ideas without a clean logical link. Use topic sentences that state each paragraph’s main point, then connect examples explicitly to that point and to your overall opinion.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use some relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “visuals,” “language barrier,” “vocabulary,” and “grammar,” and you attempt more formal expressions such as “numerous benefits” and “apparent.” However, word choice and collocation are often inaccurate or unnatural, which sometimes makes the meaning less clear. Examples include “recently made stories,” “these visualization,” “words has their own importances,” and “depicted picture.” Spelling and form also need attention, as in “thesedays” and “stores” where the context appears to require “stories.” Aim for precise, natural combinations such as “news reports,” “visual images,” and “convey information.” Proofreading for word forms and spelling would make your ideas easier to follow.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a reason clause with “because” and a concession structure beginning “although.” However, grammatical errors are frequent, and some sentences are difficult to process. For example, “these visualization is” has a number-agreement problem, while “words needs time” and “words has” also show subject–verb agreement errors. The sentence beginning “While having depicted picture” is incomplete, and the conclusion’s “although … but” construction is not formed correctly. Punctuation and capitalisation are inconsistent, including unnecessary capitals after commas and full stops. Practise building accurate subject–verb patterns and complete clauses before adding more complex structures; then check each sentence for agreement and punctuation.
