Student answer (Band 5.0)

In this modern era, news broadcast on electronic devices and in traditional papers are usually showed by images, which attract people more. Due to this, certain individuals believe that pictures are more beneficial than audio and written formats. Although both the ways are effective, according to my preseption news stories on TV and newspaper have positive benefits.

To begin with, there are numerous resons why people incline towards pictures. Visualize things are easy to understand, when people watch news in photoes they can imagine situation what is exactly happened. It assist them to boost their analytical skills. In addition, many illitrate people cannot read newspapers, but they are interested in surrounding happenings, which could assist them to know about plethora activities.

On the other hand, newstories on TV and newspapers are equally important as there are a lot of reporters who make hardwork to collect the news then telecasts to people, which is a best way to aware and provide information. Apart from it, many individuals are enjoying traditional way of news instead of only relying on photoes, because full news gives a detail knowlegde, which makes positive impact on people. Furthermore, newspapers help people in reading, it can be habbit of many people to read newspaper in the morning. They can become more confident by getting true knowlegde instead of assume anything.

In conclusion, words are less poplar among some indivisuals, I believe news on Tv and newspapers are always on top priority for many people, which i already mentioned.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You address the topic by discussing both the appeal of pictures and the value of written or televised news, and you give a personal view. However, the position is not consistently clear: the introduction says both forms are effective, while the conclusion prioritises TV and newspapers without directly explaining whether pictures are more effective than words. Several points are relevant but under-developed. For example, you say images help people understand what happened and support illiterate readers, but you do not give a specific example or explain the limits of pictures. Develop a clear answer to the comparison and support each main reason with a concrete example or explanation.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion, and signposts such as “To begin with,” “On the other hand,” and “In conclusion” help show the intended structure. However, the progression between ideas is sometimes unclear. The first body paragraph focuses on pictures, while the second shifts among reporters’ work, detailed information, reading habits and confidence, without clearly linking these points to the comparison in the question. Some connections are also mechanical, particularly the repeated use of “Furthermore” and “Apart from it.” Group related ideas together and use clearer references and transitions so each paragraph develops one central point.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You attempt topic-related vocabulary, including “analytical skills,” “surrounding happenings,” and “traditional way of news,” and the reader can generally identify your intended meaning. However, the range is limited and several inaccurate word choices or collocations make parts difficult to understand, such as “Visualize things,” “a detail knowlegde,” and “news stories … are usually showed by images.” Spelling errors, including “preseption,” “illitrate,” and “poplar,” also reduce accuracy. Aim for more natural phrases and check word forms and spelling. For instance, use “visual information” rather than “visualize things,” and “detailed information” rather than “a detail knowledge.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You use some longer sentence forms, including clauses introduced by “Although,” “because,” and “which,” but attempts at complex sentences are often faulty, and errors occur frequently enough to affect clarity. For example, “Visualize things are easy to understand, when people watch news in photoes they can imagine situation what is exactly happened” has problems with clause structure, articles and verb form. In “It assist them,” the subject and verb do not agree, while “which is a best way” has an article error. Sentence boundaries are also unclear in places. Practise building accurate simple sentences first, then combine them with one subordinate clause at a time.
