Student answer (Band 5.0)
Nowadays, individuals like to understand each and everything through pictures and it is easy for them to get the concept. News stories on telivision and in magzines are more likely to be combined with images. I firmly believe that this makes the attention of the concept to the individuals.
To begin with, in ancient time individuals use images to describe the feelings and they like the way they do it is also seen in the studies that most of the indivdiuals at that time draw great images with specific meanings. Moreover, all over the world there are great museums with great artwork and individuals like to see it. For example, The Great Drone which is made thousands of years ago individuals till now go there to see that beautiful image rather than watching on television or reading in the magzines.
Secondly, News stories on telvision and in magzines are most likely to accompained by images as it helps them to gain the attention of the individuals and its also boost their business. Furthermore, individuals also like to see that stories on telivision and in magzines which has images as it does not make them feel bored and also it creates great intrest and they are eager to know more about that concept. For example, a survey were help in Paris where 80% of individuals says they like to watch and listen the news on telvision which has more images.
In conclusion, I firmly believe that media is doing a great job by adding more images on there news stories as well as in their magzines.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You give a clear general opinion that pictures attract people and make news more interesting, and you support this with examples about museums and a survey. However, the response only partly addresses the comparison in the question: it does not explain clearly whether pictures are more effective than words, or in what ways words may be more useful. Several points are asserted rather than developed, such as the claim that images “boost their business,” and the historical example is difficult to connect to news communication. To strengthen the response, state your position on pictures versus words directly, then explain and illustrate two distinct reasons, including a relevant limitation or role for written information.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs signalled by “To begin with” and “Secondly,” and a conclusion. This helps the reader follow the broad direction of your argument. However, progression within the paragraphs is uneven: the discussion moves from ancient image-making to museums and then to news without clearly showing how each point supports the comparison in the task. Repeated references to “individuals” and “images” also make the links feel mechanical, while “For example” introduces evidence that is not fully explained. Use topic sentences that state each paragraph’s main reason, and add clearer links between the example and your claim.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
You use some relevant vocabulary, including “attention,” “specific meanings,” “artwork,” and “survey,” so the topic is generally understandable. However, the range is limited and several words or phrases are repeated, especially “individuals,” “images,” and “great.” There are also noticeable spelling and word-choice problems, such as “telivision,” “magzines,” “accompained,” and “intrest,” as well as unnatural expressions like “gain the attention” and “understand each and everything.” These errors sometimes make the intended meaning less clear. Build a more precise set of topic words and check spelling carefully; vary repeated nouns with suitable alternatives such as viewers, readers, photographs, and visual information.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and longer sentences, and the overall meaning can usually be followed. However, control is inconsistent, particularly in verb forms, agreement, and sentence construction. For example, “in ancient time individuals use images” needs a consistent past-tense form, while “a survey were help” has errors in both the verb and its form. In “80% of individuals says,” the verb does not agree with the plural subject, and “which has images” does not clearly agree with the plural “stories.” Some sentences also join several ideas without clear grammatical boundaries. Practise accurate past and present forms, subject–verb agreement, and shorter sentence patterns before adding more complex clauses.
