Student answer (Band 5.0)
Nowadays, watching TV and reading newspapers, become a best mode to keep ourselves updated regarding what is happening in the world. Therefore, some individuals believe that, news are presented through pictures are more effective than words as news stories on Tv and in newspapers are often followed by pictures. There are a lot reasons behind it why people think this way.
To begin with, Most of the time people do not have enough time to read a news due to busy schedule. with the help of pictures they get some ideas what is happening, how and where, even without reading. Not only they save time, but also can utilize that time in some valuable things. Moreover, some individuals do not like reading and feel boring during the reading, unlike watching, because when they see things are moving, make them curious like what is going to happen next and how.
According to my option, staying updated regarding surroundings is important and having real and orginal context is significantly better instead of fake news. what way people are choosing to get that infromation is not important wethear they prefer news which are accompanied with pictures or words. People can chose according to their own taste. For example, some people like in-depth information, for that they prefer reading instead of watching.
In conclusion, based on the aforementioned reasons, people have their own will to select which way suitable for them to collect the knowledge, but waht information they are collectiong thats important, that must be real and evidence based.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5
You give a relevant view: pictures can help people grasp a story quickly, while readers may prefer written detail. However, the task asks whether pictures are more effective than words, and your position shifts in the third paragraph to saying that the method does not matter. This leaves your opinion on the comparison unclear, and the reasons are only briefly explained; for example, the point about moving images creating curiosity is not supported with a specific example. The response is also 248 words, two words below the 250-word minimum; the eight words copied from the task prompt are not counted. State your view directly and develop it with a concrete example and a clearer comparison of pictures and words.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, a paragraph giving reasons, a paragraph explaining your view, and a conclusion. Linking expressions such as “To begin with,” “Moreover,” and “In conclusion” help signal the stages of your argument. Overall, the ideas are arranged coherently, but the progression is weakened when the essay moves from arguing that pictures are effective to saying the choice of format is unimportant. Some connections are also awkward or unclear, such as “According to my option,” and the conclusion repeats the idea of personal choice rather than resolving the comparison. Make your position consistent and use references and transitions that clearly show how each point supports it.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “updated,” “in-depth information,” and “evidence based,” and you attempt to express ideas about time, interest, and news reliability. However, the range is limited and several word-choice, collocation, and spelling errors make parts less natural or harder to understand. Examples include “a best mode,” “feel boring,” “real and orginal context,” and “what information they are collectiong.” Some phrases are also imprecise, such as “collect the knowledge” for getting information. Build a more accurate set of topic phrases and check spelling and word forms; this will help you express comparisons between visual and written news more precisely.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including the contrast in “Not only they save time, but also can utilize that time…” and the example introduced by “For example.” However, complex structures are often faulty, and errors in sentence construction, agreement, articles, and punctuation recur. For instance, “watching TV and reading newspapers, become a best mode” has an incorrect subject–verb pattern and article use, while “news are presented through pictures are more effective” combines clauses without a clear grammatical structure. Capitalisation after full stops is also inconsistent. Practise building complete sentences with one clear main clause, then add subordinate clauses carefully; review articles and subject–verb agreement.
